I graduated from Faculty of Engineering University of Ruhuna in the field of Mechanical and Manufacturing. I have seven
years of industrial experience in the fields of Mechanical , Automation, Project Management, Manufacturing and
Marketing.

At the moment I am employing in a Multinational Steel Company as Manager- Operations and Safety. I am handling 25
permanent employees and 30 contract labors. My task is to achieve the given target while maintaining the all other cost
in a given benchmark. My duty involves Safety, Production, Scheduling, Inventory control, Raw material forecast, Machine
maintenance, training and Development of the employee, etc. In-between, I am carrying out project to improve the
productivity of the company. I carried out an energy audit, which help to reduce unnecessary electricity bill by
implementing a capacitive bank. I implemented an automated steel sheet stacking machine which helps to reduce one
labor from a particular roll form machine. I trained factory employee to handle the Tally system which help to reduce the
stock issues.

As an Assistance Manager- Constructions, I was involving with several steel building projects simultaneously. The projects
are based on Design, Detail, Fabrication, Supply and Erection of Pre-Fabricated steel structures. So my involvement is to
maintain proper flow on the each stage from Start to End. I have completed and handed-over several projects within the
construction industry.

I have employed in the same company as Safety and Production Engineer. I gave my fullest support to develop the
production capacity. Maintaining machinery inside the plant by reducing the breakdown and improve the production
capacity while keeping the good safety environment in the factory premises was my key focus with my employment.

In my industrial project I have done a project at Ceylon Dockyard PLC. The project is to design and installation of mobile
sheds for ship repairs. I have design the steel structure and the electrical moving machinery which fix on to the steel
structure.

At the moment I am following MSc course in Industrial Automation conducted by University of Moratuwa and MSc in
Sustainable Energy Engineering conducted by University of KTH Sweden. These courses help me to improve my
knowledge on Automation technologies and Energy field.

I have a sound knowledge in Mechanical Design using computer aided software. I have followed a Diploma in Mechanical
CADD course which has given me a solid background on Mechanical design in 3D environment. I have studied Finite
Element Analysis method and Simulation which will be beneficial for my future career.
