About Us: Venkateshwara Open University (VOU) is an international seat of higher learning and non-
profit foundation. VOU as whole provides a mentored educational experience to learners at doctoral, post-
graduate and graduate levels to imbibe social changes in the communities around India and world. The
university education is an organized attempt to help people to become intelligent, self reliant and able to
face real life situation. We at VOU have evolved and adopted the teaching programmes and methodology
requiring the students to undergo the professional world in forms as well as in substance providing them an
opportunity to apply their class-room knowledge to live situations, thus to build the long needed bridge
between the professional world and the educational world.

Recognition: Venkateshwara Open University is established through Arunachal Pradesh State legislative
Act, LAW/LEGN-10/2012, Arunachal Pradesh (Act No. 10 of 2012) has vital and rich experience in the
field of Education including Open and Distance learning mode. All its courses are approved by Distance
Education Council of the University.

Condonation of Break in Studies / Credit transfer from any other University to VOU: Candidates who
have discontinued the 1
st
& 2
nd
year of the courses from any of the schools of this university or any other
universities or from institute of distance education approved by UGC are considered for admission
respectively to the 2
nd
& 3
rd
year e.g. the course in the same or some other branch or other school. The
exemption is subject to the conditions that they appear for the examination conducted by this University
and pass all the subjects. Student has to pay entire course fee.

Foreign Students: Foreign students residing in India or abroad are eligible to seek admission in VOU
programme.

Academic Programme: University is having various academic programmes for students having different
academic level. Students can choose programmes ranging from Certificate to Doctorate level programmes
according to their eligibility.

Programme Modes: Distance Education mode and Industry Integrated education mode

Examination System: Credit based grading system comprises of 50% sessional and 50% final examination
components. Final examination will be having Descriptive / multiple choice objective type questions.

Support Service: In order to provide individualized support to its learners, the University has a large
number of Study / Regional Centres / Collaborated Institutes throughout the country and abroad.
