Irish author Eimear McBride won the 2014 Bailey's Women's Prize for Fiction. She won this award for

Odisha sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik has won a prize at the sand sculpting World Cup in the US. He
won the People's Choice prize at the World Cup of Sand Sculpting - 2014 held in the Atlantic City of
the US.
France announced to honour Shahrukh Khan with the "Legion of France", one of its highest civilian
awards. It will be awarded to Shahrukh for his contribution to Cinema.
Indian-born Booker Prize winning author Salman Rushdie was named the winner of this year's
