ACTIVITY 1
1.1 Theme: World of Story
1.2 Topic: Unit 17 - Myths
1.3 Title of Activity: Character Statues
1.4 Year: 2
1.5 Time: 15 minutes
1.6 Aims:
1. To create a statue of character at a specific moment in the story
2. To look at and identify other statues
3. To collaborate in pairs
1.7 Material: Character cards, Magic box, character costumes basket, red hood, cap, boot,
whiskers, wand, princess dress & glass shoe.
1.8 Description: This activity focuses childrens attention on specific characters in a story and
encourages them to do mimes which are detailed and thoughtful. Miming events provides a
useful way of recycling language from the story and helps to make this memorable. This activity
also encourages children to work together cooperatively and develops students aesthetic
values towards drama and improves their language command.
1.9 Preparation before the class: Teacher prepares character cards (which have characters
name) and magic box.
1.10 Procedure:
1. Teacher asks a student to come in front of the class.
2. Teacher asks the student to draw a character card from magic box make a statue of the
character and remain freeze.
3. Teacher asks the rest of the class to guess the character represented by the student,
example
T: Whos this?
S: I think its Little Red Riding Hood.

T: Whats she doing?
S: She is carrying a basket.
4. This activity is carried out twice.
5. Later, teacher divides the class into pairs and labels each pairs with A and B.
6. Teacher tells the pairs to choose a character from Disney Story
7. Teacher asks students A to make their respective pairs (students B) into a sculpture of
the character that they have chosen.
8. When students B are ready, teacher asks Students A from different pairs to look at all
the sculptures and guess the characters correctly.
9. Teacher rewards the pair who make a good sculpture and those who guess the
characters correctly.
1.11 Variations:
1. Teacher involves both pair (A and B) to make statues of two different characters and let
the other students to guess the characters correctly.
2. Teacher asks students to wear characters costumes when conducting this activity in
class.
3. Teacher can conduct this activity in an open and wider space to make students to move
actively during the activity.
4. Teacher can ask students (representatives) to make few variations of statues for the
character that they get during the early phase of the activity to make the other students
to guess the character easily.
1.12 Follow-up: Students draw and make a collage of the character that they like the most from
the sculptures activity. They teacher instructs the students to write three simple sentences
below the collage about the character they like the most and display it on the students creative
board. Then students sing love song before the end of the class.

ACTIVITY 2
2.1 Theme: World of Story
2.2 Topic: Unit 14 - Harmony in the Jungle
2.3 Title of Activity: My Mask
2.4 Year: 4
2.5 Time: 20 minutes
2.6 Aims:
1. To make students to follow instructions
2. To develop students craft making skill
2.7 Material: Mask template, elastic, colours, scissors, glue & glitters glue.
2.8 Description: This activity focuses childrens attention on making a mask based on teachers
instruction. This specific activity will encourage students to think creatively and develop craft
making skill in them. Besides that, it also encourages children to work together cooperatively
and develops students aesthetic values and language.
2.9 Preparation before the class: Teacher makes a mask of a character for herself.
2.10 Procedure:
1. Teacher shows the mask that she has made to the class.
2. Teacher asks students to make a mask for themselves.
3. Teacher distributes the materials to students and gives clear instruction to students on
how to make mask with the provided materials.
4. Teacher goes around the class, commenting and encouraging the students when they
work on their masks.
5. As the students finish the task, teacher puts elastic in the students mask.
6. Teacher rewards the students who design creative masks and asks the students to put
on their mask.

2.11 Variation:
1. Teacher can give different mask templates like goat, monkey, giant & ghost mask
templates to student during this activity in order to make variety of masks.
2. Teacher can play background music during the session of making mask.
3. Teacher can ask the students to wear their mask and comment about their peers mask.
4. Teacher can divide the class into two big group and one group will make the mask and
the other will do face painting.
2.12 Follow-up: Teacher will divide students into five small groups and give different scripts to
each group. Students will make a role play using the mask that they make during the previous
activity. Then students will sing a jazz chant while wearing their mask before the end of the
class.
2.13 Jazz Chant:

Red, Yellow, Blue and Pink,
Triangle, Square, Rectangle and Oval,

ACTIVITY 3
3.1 Theme: World of Story
3.2 Topic: Unit 8 - Its Story Time!
3.3 Title of Activity: Interview Me!
3.4 Year: 3
3.5 Time: 15 minutes
3.6 Aims:
1. To ask for and give personal information in the role of a story character
2. To develop confidence in turn taking and using familiar language
3.7 Material: Character information cards, pencils & paper which has the characters name from
the story The Arrogant Bella.
3.8 Description: This activity practises students to take turns when asking questions. Students
will represent a character in a story selected by the teacher and they will interview among them
to collect information about the secret character acquired by every students in the class.
Besides that, this activity will help the teacher to improve students language proficiency and
aesthetic values towards drama.
3.9 Preparation before the class: Teacher prepares character information card that required
student to fill in the blanks about the particulars of certain characters.
3.10 Procedure:
1. Teacher asks every student to close their eyes.
2. Teacher places a paper which has the characters name from the story The Arrogant
Bella on every students desk.
3. Teacher asks the student to open their eyes and read the characters name secretly
without showing other.
4. Teacher pairs the students and name each pair A and B.
5. Teacher gives each student a character information card.
6. Students will interview among their pairs to gather information about their pairs story
characters.

7. Teacher will ask the students to act as the given character during the interview session.
8. Teacher calls out each pair to the front to say out their information that they gathered
during the interview session and the pairs characters.
9. Teacher rewards the pair who guesses the characters correctly.
3.11 Variation:
1. Teacher can ask each student to interview any of three characters in the class and make
the students to move around during the activity rather than conducting the activity in
pairs.
2. Teacher plays background music when conducting this activity.
3. Teacher prepares characters costumes for students to wear during the activity.
3.12 Follow-up: Students choose their favourite character (characters during the activity) and
explain the reason for their favouritism. After that the students will sing a Jazz Chant before the
class ends.
3.13 Jazz Chant:
Mermaid, Cinderella, Snow White (x2),
We love Mermaid,
We love Cinderella,
We love Snow White,
We love all of them.
