This special profile line is made specifically to produce strands with an exact
diameter of 3.0 and 1.7 mm diameter to be suitable for various brands of 3D printers. It
can also be supplied for any other strand diameter you require and with any other
extruder size both single as well as twin screw extruder The better O.D. control of the
monofilament equals better performance from your 3D Printer.

The line comprises of the following:

25 mm, 30 L/D Single Screw Extruder type
LE25-30/C

For general compounding of PE, PP, PS,
ABS etc, non-vented type equipped as
following:
Screw and barrel in high-grade nitride steel,
screw diameter 25 mm and L/D ratio of 30.
Optionally available with bimetallic barrel giving
optimum war and chemical resistance.
Screw with Maddock mixing section at 22 D
and with pineapple mixing at screw tip.
Compression ratio 1 to 3. Please see later
pages for other screw types including our
modular screw elements where you can build
your own screw configuration.
Screw speed infinite variable from 0 to 300
RPM.
4 KW AC motor drive, coupled directly to an in
line heavy-duty helical gear box, which in turn
is connected to an individual housing
containing the oversized trust and position
bearings for the screw drive.
Optional high torque version with standard 4
KW drive but with higher gear ration suitable
for difficult to extrude polymers. The screw
speed is here infinite variable from 0 to 200
RPM.
Optional Vector Motor drive with 5 KW motor power. This drive has an extremely accurate RPM
control of the screw speed with high constant torque throughout the entire RPM range. It is
strongly recommended to be used in applications where you need a very accurate RPM which will
not vary regardless of set screw speed, like for all co-extrusion applications.
Programmable frequency inverter for infinite variable screw speed. Digital readout of the screw
RPM and motor power in percent of full load from instruments mounted on the control panel.
4 heating zones on barrel, all with air-cooling. Each zone is equipped with high efficient air-cooling
where copper sheets are mounted below the band heaters ending up in a multitude of fins. These
fins catch the cold air and conduct it directly to the barrel. The sirocco type of cooling fans are all
mounted in the extruder sub cabinet and connected to each zone with hoses. The large wattage
on the band heaters coupled with the efficient cooling system ensures very fast heating and
cooling of each zone.
Digital programmable set and readout temperature controllers for all 5 zones coupled to solid-state
relays for accurate heat control. The controllers are self-tuning and equipped with programmed
auto compensation, ensuring a precise temperature over the entire working range of 0 to 300 C.

Extruder head with chromed C-Clamp, equipped with two isolated handles and a single clamping
screw for easy operation. Breaker plate for the screens is situated at extruder head, before down
stream die for easy access.
Optionally the extruder can be equipped with a practical manual screen changer.
Full steel cover over the entire extruder barrel with air venting grid on top.
Modern designed extruder body where all components are fully enclosed.
Large built in cabinet for all electric components with swing open doors fully separated from the
other extruder components.
Convenient Swing away control cabinet, which enable full view from all desired angles.
Stainless steel hopper, with a stainless steel 3-position turret safety valve where in one position
the resin is fed directly into the screws feeding section, in the other the resin flow is shut off and in
the third position the resin is discharged through a pipe on the front of the extruder barrel.
Extruder body on four heavy-duty lockable casters.
Output up to 10 kg per hour at max screw speed of 300 RPM

High torque standard 4KW drive version with max screw RPM of 200, no charge

Additional price for 5.5 KW drive with high torque gear ratio and max RPM 200
for model LE25-30/C/13-5.5 .

Additional price for Vector motor drive with extremely high RPM accuracy and

Optional Barrel and screw:

Non Vented Bimetallic Barrel for optimum chemical and wear resistance, also recommended
for PVC and other resins which causes acid attack to normal steel grades. The price covers the
option when you change from standard nitrided barrel to this bimetallic version

Additional price for 25 mm extruder .

Bimetallic screw for high wear and acid resistance. Price is valid when changing existing screw
to this bimetallic version (Required for PLA material)
Additional price for 25 mm extruder .


Please note we recommend to use high torque drives and corrosion resistant
barrel and screw for processing of PLA resin but it is not necessary for ABS

Cooling and calibration bath










Also with strand suction to make sure strand is dry before it enters to the haul off unit. It includes a
set of 4 guillotine type gates for calibration as well as strand guide rollers attached to the side of
the tank with a clamp and quick lock system.

Caterpillar Haul Off unit.





Supplied with two individual variable speed gear motor drives, one for each upper and lower belts. The
caterpillar belts have an easy adjustment of the nip-gap for optimum grip of the profile. The caterpillar
assembly is covered all around with a cage and a front door with a large window for security reasons
and good visibility of the haul off process. The sub cabinet to the haul off unit is equipped with lockable
casters.

Wind up station







The wind up unit comprises of a variable speed DC torque drive unit with digital controls and an
adjustable traverse mechanism which will lay down the strand nicely and evenly on the roll.

the fee we charge for this is US$ 200 per day including travel time plus airfare and
lodging at net costs.

Two Years Warranty on all our Machines

Our machines are now warranted for two years valid from date of startup or two
months after shipment date, whichever is earliest.

The two-year warranty covers all mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic parts
with a few exceptions where the warranty period is for only one year. The exceptions
cover intricate parts like inverters, PLC and electronic instruments where our suppliers
only warrant their parts for one year. And we warrant our heaters for one year even
though they are not warranted by our supplier.
