DAY FOR LIFE This weekend there will be a retiring collection for Day for Life the day in the
Churchs year dedicated to celebrating the dignity of life this year they call upon young people in
particular, to protect and cherish life from conception to natural death. Please give generously to
support their good work. There are leaflets available in the Church porches.

PRAYER FOR DAY FOR LIFE Holy Mary, Mother of Love, holding in your arms, the fruit of your
womb, graciously look upon our earth and remove from it all that hardens our hearts and dims our
eyes to the preciousness of human life, from the moment of conception to natural death. Through
the example of your tenderness teach us the ways of compassion and love that we may build up
the civilisation of love among us and a society that is truly worthy of the human person. Help us to
reject all that contributes to a culture of death, and to work with others of goodwill in promoting the
culture of life. Bring us ever closer to your Son, so that we may know the fullness of life that he
offers us and come to know that life more perfectly, with you, and all the angels and saints, in the
eternal life of Heaven. Amen

ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT every Monday at Our Lady of Peace from 7.30pm
to 8.30pm. All welcome to join in Contemplating the Face of Christ through prayer, praise and
stillness for our Parish Mission. There is also Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament with Worship,
Scripture, Silence and Divine Mercy Prayer at St Andrews every Thursday from 8.30am 9.30am.

MISSION PRAYER GROUP Thursdays at St Andrews. Adoration at 8.30am followed by Holy
Mass at 9.30am. All welcome to join the Prayer Team to pray for the success of the Parish Mission
at Our Lady of Peace to be held in September/October. Call Millie on 07957 594646
MISSION PRAYER
Heavenly Father, we thank you for sending your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, to reveal your
unconditional love for us, and for pouring out your Holy Spirit upon the Church. May that
gift of the Spirit that dwells within each one of us be fanned into a flame so that we may
have a burning love for you and for our neighbour. Help each of us to play our part in
making our parish a place of welcome, where people may experience your healing grace
and be empowered to bear witness to your love for all. We ask this through Christ our
Lord, Amen.

MONA LISA ARTS & MEDIA WW1 ART EXHIBITION Blessed Are The Peacemakers, St

August at 2.00pm. The exhibition is part of the WW1 Commemorations and includes
artworks, banners and floral displays created by professional artists, local youth and community
groups, St Peters Flower arrangers, supported by Burnham and Slough Deanery, Oxford Diocese
and the Buckinghamshire Community Foundation. The exhibition will be officially opened at 2.00pm
by the Countess of Buckinghamshire, County President of the Royal British Legion (Womens
Section). We do hope you can join us.
