Face to Face that the more we know Him, the more we will show Him so pray strong, stay strong! Suggested Reading Plan: Read a Psalm and a Proverb that coordinates with that day. Example: on Aug 4 th read Psalm 4 & Proverbs 4 to help create the healthy habit of daily time in Gods word. Daily Prayer Guide: Mondays Pray for our Lead Pastors and Church Leadership. Pray that God guides our spiritual leaders (e.g., deacons, elders, overseers). Pray that all will be holy, passionate, growing and evangelistic. Also pray that our own personal hearts will have complete dependence on God, a renewed passion for His presence and fresh revelation of His Word.
Tuesdays Pray for our churchs small group leaders. Ask God to give them a caring heart, a teaching ability, and a prayerful spirit. Pray they will willingly reproduce themselves and multiply their groups.
Wednesdays Pray for the children and students (young people) in our church. Pray our church will give them such grounding in the gospel they will always think about Christian faithfulness when confronted with the worlds options. Ask God to raise up the next generation of missionaries from our young people. Pray the students will be vibrant witnesses in their schools. Ask the Lord to give them strength in temptation.
During the month of August, we are setting aside a season of prayer to seek God and believe Him to do amazing things in our church. We would love for you to also join us as we gather together to pray for the needs of our city, families and homes.
21 Days of Prayer August 4-24, 2014 Thursdays Pray for the couples and families in our church. Lift them up by name, and pray for their marriages. Pray that each husband will love his wife as Christ loves the church (Eph. 5:25). Intercede especially for those couples you know are struggling and for those that will come to this church and find Christ and grow as a family.
Fridays Pray for new believers in our church. Ask the Lord to raise up disciplers, encouragers and mentors for them. Also ask God to give our congregation a renewed heart for evangelism and outreach to souls in need and divine opportunities. Pray that every direct mail piece and outreach we do will reach and impact people right where their point of need. Also lift up your friends and neighbors you are inviting may God soften and prepare their heart to receive the gospel.
Saturdays Pray for our church to be a Great Commission-minded church. Pray that we stay our course and commit to reach people here at home and around the world. Pray for the upcoming missions trips this year and that more members are able to go, give and serve.
Sundays Pray for our weekends services, life groups, growth track and dream teams. Pray that God would raise up laborers in our church who are passionate about God, part of a team and growing (Matt. 9:35-38). Jesus told us to pray that way, so lets be obedient to His command. Ask God to make Himself known in such a powerful way in response to your prayers that every person experiences the power and presence in a big way to recognize a difference in their life.
