Cardon Smith and the Heat - You may not have seen Cardon Smiths name at the top of the marquee yet, but once you do, its a name he hopes you wont soon forget. The Georgia native and Chattanooga, Tennessee, resident is a singer/songwriter who began strumming his guitar around the campfire for the enjoyment of his hunting buddies and soon transitioned to the local bar scene, including opening for headliners Chris Knight, Angie Aparo, and Lera Lynn. Drawing influences from the Texas Country/Americana scene, Cardon's music endeavors to reveal an honest blend of his struggle to find the balance between hope and loss, happiness and despair. Cardon is in the process of recording his first album, which he hopes to release in the fall of
2014. He will be performing with his band, The Heat, for the River City Sessions.
