Situation of the family farm

- Q:Since when do you live here in Brgy.Bantayan San Inreque Passi ?
- Ans: I live here for almost 50 years.
- Q:Are you married and do you have children ?
- Ans: Yes Im married and I have 4 children
- Q:What is composition of your household (adults, men-women, children) ?
- Ans: More of adults
- Q:What are the most important agricultural activities of the farm ? And
particularly for yourself (as member of farmer household)?
- Ans : Production of sugarcane. Sometimes I plant palay and corn. But the I
consider sugarcane as highly valuable crop.
- Q :How did you obtain your farm land ?
- Ans : I obtained my land PD 27 and I was issued an emancipation patent.
- Q:Do you have other concerns/problems regarding your obtained land ?
- Ans: yes, there are so many problems. I dont understand why I need to pay
28,000 thou pesos for the tax that I obtained under PD 27.
- Q:And you yourself, do you have specific objectives you want to achieve after
you were awarded land by our govt ?
- Ans: I want an absolute ownership over the land awarded to me but I could not
easily acquire absolute ownership over the awarded land because I would still
pay for the taxes.


Agricultural practices
- Q:What are the changes in the use of your farmland ? Have you received
support services from our govt? ?
- Ans: No. I received none and because of this I could not increase my
productivity. I received no financial support also.
- Q: What support services do you think that could increase your productivity?
- Ans: I need fertilizers, seeds and irrigation facilities.
- How do you evaluate the implementation of the Agrarian Reform?
- Ans: Not so good. I still have many questions regarding the implementation of
the said Agrarian Refrom.
- Q:Do you specialize on certain agricultural activities ? Which ones ? Why ?
- Ans :I only specialize on sugarcane plantation because If sepecialize on other
crops like for example rice , I could not reach a better profit because farmlands
here in Brgy Bantayan lacks irrigation facilities that could support other crops.
- Q: How do you find farming now for you are now considered as owner of the land
you cultivate ?
- Ans: Again, I could say that its better now because I earn 100% of income
because Im not a tenant anymore but again as an ordinary farmer I still need
support services from govt.
- Q :Are there innovation regarding new farming techniques shared to you by the
MARO?
- None.
- How do you finance your agricultural activities (own capital, sales, informal
credit, formal credit) ?
- Ans : Own capital because theres no support from the govt.

- Q:Do you have specific observations or suggestions regarding the
implementation of Agrarian Reform ?
- Ans: Support services, Seminars on better farming, legal assistance, etc
- How do you finance your agricultural activities (own capital, sales, informal
credit, formal credit) ?
- Do you have a bank account ? Savings ? Credit ? Which bank/MFI ?

Membership farmer organizations
- Q:Do you have cooperatives here in Brgy. Bantayan ?
- Ans: Yes
- Q:Do you conduct meetings together with members of cooperative?
- Ans: Yes but our questions regarding legl issues about agrarian reform is still
unanswered.
