Dear Nurses of
National Skin Centre
You have shown great dedica-
tion, care and professionalism
towards our patients. Where
would doctors be without
nurses? Its really a joy to work
with you!

Dr Joyce Lee, Consultant
Dermatologist, National
Skin Centre
Dear Staff Nurse Cynthia
Pui Sau Chu of Ward 1,
Alexandra Hospital
You really go round to
patients and make it a point
to see to our needs. Very
good care and service.
Mdm Lim Lay In
Dear Nurses of National Dental
Centre of Singapore
Nurses are the heart and soul of the
operating theatres and central sterile
supplies department here at National
Dental Centre. They are a wonder-
ful team, dedicated to ensuring that
things run like clockwork. Above all,
they are always there for our
patients.
Dr Poon Choy Yoke, Senior Con-
sultant, Department of Oral and
Maxillofacial Surgery, National
Dental Centre of Singapore
Dear Nurses of National Cancer
Centre Singapore
Nurses are the heartbeat of health-
care. I couldnt agree more with this
maxim. Dedicated care from a respon-
sible nurse is as important as a prescrip-
tion from a doctor, or a major procedure
by a surgeon, all of which would not be
possible without assistance from the
nurses. I join in the chorus of tributes
and wish all of you Happy Nurses Day.
Prof Soo Khee Chee, Director of
NCCS & Assistant Chief Executive
Officer, SingHealth Group
Dear Paediatric Nurses of Wards 45,
46, 46A, 47, 47A, 88, 96, 24, Childrens
Specialist Clinic A, Childrens Emergen-
cy, National University Hospital
Once a year, we recognise your efforts and
contributions,
Once a year, we celebrate the love, care and
hard work you put in for our patients,
Once a year we wish you Happy Nurses
Day, but really,
Our appreciation and our thoughts are with
you every day and throughout the year,
Every day is Nurses Day
But today, we especially wish you a special
Happy Nurses Day!
Associate Professor Daniel Goh, on
behalf of all the doctors and staff of
the University Childrens Medical
Institute, National University Hospital
Dear Nurses of CICU & CSDU,
KK Womens and Childrens Hospital
When I am feeling sick, or worse,
I thank God for you, my nurse
Whose tender care and ministrations are
worth sincere congratulations.
Through your precious smiles, and words of
comfort as you tend
With your sharpened skill and guiles
Without complaint, you mend.
Here comes the day, when Ill be on my way
And I discover in the end, that I have had a
pleasant visit with a very special friend.
Josiah, Victor & Angela Tan
Dear Nurses of Ward 5D,
Tan Tock Seng Hospital
I was recently warded at Tan
Tock Seng Hospital for a week. I
would like to thank all the staff
and nurses of Ward 5D for giv-
ing me the utmost care and at-
tention, and for going beyond
the call of duty. Keep up the
good work!
Mr Sebastian Tan
Dear Nurses of Wards 13 and 25
(especially Nurses Ooi N-de and
Rao Kai Ling), Changi General
Hospital
I would like to commend you on
your excellent care and treatment
accorded to patients in your wards.
Despite the demanding nature of
your work, you had the grace and
patience to deal with patients from
all walks of life. Your conduct and
service have been exemplary. You
deserve the highest praise.
Mr Tan Hin Tat
Dear Nurse Jasmine Goh of Toa Payoh Polyclinic, NHG Polyclinics
I want to especially extend my deep ap-
preciation to you for going the extra mile
for your patient. During the H1N1 flu pe-
riod, you came to our house to teach us
how to do the dressing for our brother,
who has diabetes, to avoid infection, and
to ensure that we are doing the dressing
correctly.
Ms Cynthia Gan
Dear Nurses of Ward 58,
National University Hospital
I had recently undergone a stem
cell transplant operation and
spent a lot of time in Ward 58
(High Dependency) with the nurs-
es. The care, concern and advice
given by the nurses were very
encouraging. The tears from the
nurses when I returned from ICU
touched us very much.
Mr T D Kumar
Dear Senior Staff Nurse Yuen Mei Choy and the staff
and management of Ward 96,
National University Hospital
As I work in the healthcare industry, I am
possibly one of the hardest customers to
satisfy but I was very impressed. The staff
and management of Ward 96 deserve the
highest recognition for their attention to
detail and the level of care shown to my
wife and child. I would like to commend
Senior Staff Nurse Yuen Mei Choy who
took the time to help my wife master
the art of breastfeeding.
Mr D Porter
Dear Sister Janet Chong of
Singapore General Hospital
My mother was discharged after 10
days but had some complications
when we got home. When I called for
your assistance, you agreed to come
over without hesitation. Unfortunately,
my mother passed away before you
arrived, but you stayed on to help us
get a house-call doctor, and assisted
and comforted us until late afternoon,
skipping your lunch in the process. My
family and I are very impressed that
SGH has such a wonderful staff.
BWT
Dear Senior Staff Nurse Singar
Velan of Institute of Mental Health
Please allow me to express my
heartfelt thanks. Nurses of your
calibre are a valuable asset to the
hospital as well as to the com-
munity at large. Your professional-
ism, coupled with dedication and
warmth will lead to the highest
quality of healthcare services.
Please accept my sincere thanks
for the noble service.
Mr Fabian Daniel Anthony
