Peer Support Group
Why? Peer support was requested by the service users at the open meeting. Also NICE guidelines state that we should Consider peer support for people with psychosisto help improve service user experience and quality of life 2
Who? The peer support group is open to anyone who is on caseload within the team.
How? There is an open drop in session between 1 3pm every week at the same venue.

What have we done so far?
Joint training for staff and service users. Helping the young person make sense of their experience through informing about psychosis and some of the options available. 3
Interview Panels. Having service users involved in the interview process for recruitment of new staff.
Mental Health Promotion. Service users have been involved running stands and delivering talks at information events.
