DUCT A!RICATION. !.0 PROCEDURE !.1 Responsibility !.1.1 The responsibility for carrying out this .ethod +tatement shall be that of the "iscipline )ngineer6 :oremen4 unless other/ise specifically mentioned in this procedure. The Quality )ngineer6 "iscipline )ngineer6 :oremen shall be responsible for inspection # testing. !.2 Preparation !.2.1 Particular pro0ect specification and "1 standard should be ;erified from the appro;ed shop dra/ing and .echanical specification boo2. !.2.2 Thic2ness of acoustic liner and minimum re<uired distance of acoustic liner rom unit outlet should be ;erified and accordingly duct s2etches shall be made. !.2.3 In e;ery s2etch4 thic2ness =gauge> of the sheet4 ;olume control damper and fire dampers position in the duct shall be sho/n in order to fabricate the duct accordingly. !.3 Fabrication !.3.1 All fabrication shall be done according to the "1 standard4 /hich is sho/n in the appro;ed dra/ings or in the specification. !.3.2 "uring fabrication fabricator should ma2e sure that the /astage should not e?ceeds more than 10@ of the total fabricated duct area. !.3.3 According to "1 6 A+,3A) standard4 all duct 0oining4 stiffener shall be pro;ided in the duct /or2shop itself. !.3.% All G.I. sheets shall be handled in a proper /ay so that it should not get damaged during transportation and handling at duct /or2shop. +uper;isor must ma2e sure that hand glo;es are supplied to all /or2ers and all /or2ers must use during the time of /or2ing. !.3.!
