defning relative clauses
Use defning relative clauses to say which person, thing, or place
you are talking about.
for people who / that Freds the man who cleans the school.
A dentist is someone that takes care of peoples teeth.
for things which / that A watch is a thing which shows the time.
A dictionary is a book that tells you the meanings of
words.
for places where This is the offce where I work.
When you use a relative pronoun (who / which / that / where)
you dont need to use a subject or object pronoun
(he / they / it / her / them, etc.).
