Shaker Platforms convert your 20- or 28-liter StableTemp
bath into a shakerallowing you to incubate and agitate
your samples simultaneously. Unique dual-action shaker
platforms provide orbital or reciprocal shaking action in
the same unit. The range of motion is adjustable from 2
to 12 mm. Shaker speed is adjustable from 30 to 180 rpm
and continually displayed on the LED. Platforms include
a 6-ft (1.8-m) power cord with plug (115 VAC models have
a U.S. standard plug; 240 VAC models have a European
plug). If your application requires a lid, order the
specially designed shaker lid (sold separately below) to
accommodate the arms of the shaker platform.

The name says it all! StableTemp digital utility baths combine
precise temperature control and excellent temperature stability
to provide you with reliable heating for temperature-sensitive
samples.
For optimal temperature protection, these baths feature dual
thermostatsa primary microprocessor-based temperature
controller that provides 0.1C precision and a secondary over
temperature safety to prevent samples from overheating. For
optimal temperature accuracy, the primary controller can be
calibrated to your reference thermometer.
The stainless steel tank features rounded, easy-to-clean corners
and is seamless, so there are no welds to leak or rust. To prevent
messy benchtops, the hinged polycarbonate lid drains condensate
directly back into the bath. Lid is steeply gabled to accommodate
a variety of different sized vessels.
Choose from five bath capacities in a variety of configurations.
The 2-liter models offer deep or shallow working depths. The
20- and 28-liter models easily convert into shaking baths using
the optional shaker platform (sold separately below).

These universal racks hold an assortment of flask clamps (order online).

prevents sample loss. Low-water level signals heater shutoff for

Enamel-coated aluminum housing, and seamless, corrosion
resistant stainless steel chamber with removable basket are easy

across the basket to hold racks and other objects in place while

Bath features a high-level safety for constant operation.
Speed (shaking frequency) and temperature are set
via a keypad and viewed on a digital display. Fluid
level can vary from 2" to 7" to accommodate sample
vessels of differing heights. A second shaking carriage
(optional) can be interchanged quickly and easily. The
heater and control sensor are located underneath the
bath, guaranteeing easy cleaning. Optional transparent
plastic, roof-shaped bath cover prevents water spillage
due to turbulence formation; cover is recommended for

These baths are ideal for applications with a wide variety of
temperature control requirements up to 200C. Available in
7-, 11-, and 24-liter tank capacities, the compact footprint
maximizes bench space. Bright digital display allows for simple
operation. Three languages: English, French, and German.
Industrial-grade circulating pumps deliver extra pressure
providing more efficient heat exchange, better temperature
uniformity, and improved reservoir agitation. Long-life, high-
wattage heaters for applications requiring rapid temperature
recovery from fluctuations.
Standard Digital Controller Baths feature three programmable set
points, adjustable high-temperature cutoff, user-settable Min/Max
temperature limits, and an adjustable pump nozzle.
Advanced Digital Controller Baths offer all the features of the
Standard Digital models (except adjustable pump nozzle) plus
five programmable set points, a two-stage (force/suction) pump
for greater temperature control and circulation capacity, and a
USB port.

Standard Controller (SC) provides powerful heating
circulators with a stainless steel reservoir. With efficient
heating for open and closed applications, choose from
space-saving vertical baths or ergonomically flat baths
to fit your lab. Baths feature RTA (Real Temperature
Adjustment) for calibration of five set temperatures. The
two-level pump speed adjustment allows for turbulence
control. Choose from three languages (English, German,
and French). Change LCD digital display resolution
between 0.1 and 0.01 and units between C, F, and K.
Controller shuts down at first sign of excessive high
temperature, low liquid level (except SC 100), or motor
overload. Baths have auto-restart option after turn on or
power failure.
The SC 150 and SC 150L have a USB communication
port. Optional RS-232, RS-485, Ethernet/LAN, analog I/O
communication is availablecall for information.

The Advanced (AC) series of SAHARA baths includes all of the
Standard (SC) controller features as listed on page 14, plus a
three-speed force/suction pump for turbulence control. Select
predefined temperature fluids with automatic set of high and
low limits. Customization of control parameters for external
and internal temperature control via serial communication.
The PID-portions can be changed this way.
All of these AC controllers feature eight languages (English,
German, French, Spanish, Italian, Chinese, Russian, and
Japanese). For safety, units have an early-warning alert for
fluid refill. Include guided filling procedure and guided draining
procedure. Choose from space-saving vertical baths or
ergonomically flat baths to fit your lab.
The AC 200 models features ramp programming with edit during
ramp feature, whole range calibration of n points, and a timer with
real-time clock for time-critical applications. Extra communication
option for PROFIBUS, CAN bus analog I/O is availablecall for
information.

This circulating bath is designed specifically for fecal coliform
contamination testing, which is an indicator of E. coli microorganisms
and other pathogens. Bath is preset at a temperature of 44.5C to
comply with the EPA Total Coliform Rule (TCR) requirement.
Lab-friendly circulating bath features the digital controller as shown
on page 9 for the PolyScience immersion circulators. This highly
intuitive, easy-to-use controller makes it simple to set commonly
used coliform test temperatures, such as 44.5C, 45.5C, 41.5C, and
35.0C, or other temperatures from ambient +10 to 135C. Bath and
set point temperatures are simultaneously displayed on a large

For operational convenience, this bath is equipped with a tilting,
see-through polycarbonate cover which drains back into the bath
when opened. The lid is gabled to allow for taller vessels. An integral
one-speed (simplex) pump can be used to circulate the bath liquid to
other instruments using a closed-loop configuration. For added safety
and durability, the bath features a precision molded phenolic top
deck that remains cooler at high temperatures and is easily cleaned
and disinfected. A port in the top deck accommodates the optional
tap-water cooling coil. All wetted components are corrosion-resistant
stainless steel and high-performance polymer.

programs for easy recall from 28 to 100C. Two pump speeds
allow you to adjust the water flow within the bath to reduce
turbulence. Modify your display by choosing from three
languages (English, German, or French), temperature resolution
of 0.1 or 0.01, and temperature display in Celsius, Fahrenheit, or
Kelvin. Visual and audible alarms alert you to high temperatures.
Standard 150 Controller (SC 150) includes the same features as
the SC 100 controller, plus extended temperature range to 150C,
USB port, and analog I/O. In addition, the low liquid level alarm
and automatic shutdown in cases of high-temperature, low-level,
or motor overload conditions provide another level of protection
for your samples.

These lightweight tanks are ideal for a wide variety of processes.
Use independently, or with a circulator or stirring device. Unique
U-shaped end panels keep tank bottoms elevated to help maintain
internal temperature. The
1
/4"-thick Plexiglas walls are durable,
colorless, corrosion resistant, and easy to clean. Order racks for
6- or 8-liter tanks at right.
Polypropylene and high-density polyethylene (HDPE) balls form a tight cover over liquids.
Use them instead of a lid with any of the baths listed in this section.
Use these bath fluids to maintain desired
bath temperatures. Refer to the table at
right to select the appropriate bath fluid for
your application. For operator safety,
set the overtemperature cutoff of your
bath/circulator below the flash point
of the bath fluid you use.
Note: Do not use automotive antifreeze
with circulating bathsadditives can
be harmful to the circulating pump.
Silicone fluids are not compatible with
silicone tubing.

Fluids with a kinematic viscosity of
30 cSt or less can be pumped and used
in recirculating systems. Centistokes =
centipoise x specific gravity of the fluid.
