POSSESSIVE FORM OF NOUNS
When a noun does not end in s, form the singular and sometimes the plural possessive by
adding an apostrophe s ('s).

Dear David,
How are you? I'm fine. I'm in London, at the International School of English. I' in class 3 with eight
other students. They're all from differnt countries Spain, France, Japan, Argentina , Switzerland,
and Thailand. Our teacher's name is Peter Briscoll. He's very nice. He's funny and he's a very
good teacher.
My new address is at the top of the letter. I'm staying with an English family, the Browns. Mr and

Me and my family
I'm from Glasgow, in Scotland, and I'm forty-three years old. I'm married, and my husband's name
is Andrew. He's a teacher in a school for blind children. We have three children two boys and a
girl. I have two brothers. They still live in Scotland.
Me and my work
I'm a Member of Parliament, so I work in London for part of the week and in Scotland for the rest. I
enjoy my work very much. I like it because I meet a lot of people and it is my job to help them. I
work about fifty or sixty hours a week.
