CORSAIR VENGEANCE HEADSET DOLBY DRIVER USER GUIDE

1: Toggle Dolby Headphone Surround On/Off. [Current display indicates that Surround is Off.]
2: Source Type Selection. Here, the user may select the specific type of audio source content
being played in order to best optimize the surround experience.
Users who do not wish to have to change this setting each time they change their source type
may leave their setting at 7.1 Surround and the driver will automatically handle the audio
content delivered to the driver.
3: This visual display is to clarify to the user what is being selected in the Source Type dropdown
menu. The speaker display is also there to help indicate the most optimal Source Type setting
via illumination of the displayed speakers.
Users who choose to leave their Source Type setting at 7.1 Surround, but play source content
that is 2.0 stereo will notice that only the front left and front right speakers, out of the total 7.1
speakers being displayed, will illuminate. This indicates that the user should select Source Type
to be 2.0 Stereo for the best surround sound optimization.
Users who leave their Source Type setting at 7.1 surround, but play source content that is 5.1
surround will notice that all but two speakers will illuminate. This should tell the user that the
most optimal setting is 5.1 Surround. If All speakers are illuminated, then 7.1 Surround is the
most optimal setting.
4: Now Playing indicates to the user what is currently being outputted by the headset.
When the surround power icon is off, the headset will only produce 2.0 stereo.
When the surround power icon is on, the headset will produce 7.1 surround.
5: Profiles: Here, the user may select one of the in-house EQ (equalizer) settings, or the User may
add/delete their own EQ profiles by utilizing the +/- buttons respectively.
6: Hitting this Reset button will cause the current EQ being used to revert back to the flat,
Default EQ setting.
7: Volume control for adjusting the headset volume. This is a direct link to the Windows Control
Panel volume and can be adjusted by the rotary knob on the Vengeance 2000 Headsets Left
Side Earcup, or by the volume control found on the Vengeance 1500 Headset.
8: Microphone control for adjusting the microphone volume.
9: Headset Mute. Clicking this speaker icon will mute the headset.
10: Microphone Mute. Clicking this microphone icon will mute the microphone. Users may also
mute the microphone by tilting the microphone boom upright back into its non-used position on
the Vengeance 2000 Headset, or by pressing the Microphone Mute button on the Vengeance
1500 in-line volume control.
11: Microphone check, when selected, will enable microphone loopback / sidetone and will allow
the user to hear their own voice much more clearly. Microphone check will induce a slight delay.
In order to prevent users from being completely unable to hear themselves when they speak,
the Vengeance 2000 includes a built-in microphone check / loopback feature that is always
active at a very low volume level when the microphone is on. If the user does not like the delay
induced by the Microphone Check in the SW, (s)he may press the Vengeance 2000 microphone
up close to their mouth to hear their voice without delay.
12: This indicates whether or not Dolby Headphone is on or off.
13: This indicates whether or not Dolby ProLogic IIx is on or off.
