magazine. The first issue of the Good
Report was the March/April 1999 edition.
We apologise for celebrating this
milestone later than first planned, but we
thank God none the less for His grace
enabling us to reach the tenth year of
publication. We also thank the Good
Report volunteers and subscribers whom
the Lord has used to encourage us to
keep on publishing.
Our feature article,‘Biblical light on the
global debt crisis’, shows us that this crisis
is a direct consequence of government
and corporate powers along with ignorant
individuals, both Christians and non-
believers, disobeying God’s commands
regarding finance and especially usury.

W E ARE SO BLESSED TO
have an older generation in
Australia. In many third world
countries, where the life expectancy is
so young, they miss out on experiencing
all these great aspects of aging.
Think about it. So many young people are
inexperienced. Even in my own life, I have
so many insecurities, so many uncertainties.
I don’t have a track record – I haven’t
faced so many situations, and often am
unsure of which course to take. We make
mistakes because we either don’t think
about the consequences of our actions,
or are too young to care what happens
to us, thinking we are invincible.
But look at our older generation!! As an
older person (65 years and above), imagine
having all this experience – they learned
what to look for in a marriage partner. They
know the tricks of their job. They know
how to deal with people in a way that many
of the younger generation wouldn’t
understand. They’ve learned how to be
faithful, to themselves and to others.
They’ve learned to work hard and reap the
rewards of their labour. So many people in
this generation don’t have a clue about any
of these things.
That’s why I chose the colours black and
white. So often, our life ahead is so foggy
and unclear. They’ve been there, done that.

things that make life worth living – friends,
nature, education, faith in God, and just
having fun.

imagine. They saw the Harbour Bridge
being joined together. They saw Shirley
Temple make her first film. They
experienced ‘The Sound of Music’, ‘Mary
Poppins’, and ‘Singing in the Rain.’ They

proposed “BILL OF RIGHTS”

The English Bill of Rights in 1689 as well as
many other Laws and Statutes including the
Magna Carta of 1215 make up English
Common Law.
Our Parliamentary process in Australia has
been based on a Constitutional Monarchy
with a Westminster Parliamentary system and
law based on the heritage of the English
speaking peoples, notably the Common Law
intrinsically linked to the Christian faith, with
one Chief Justice stating:
“Christianity is parcel of the Common Law
of England, and therefore to be protected by
it; now whatever strikes at the very root of
Christianity, tends manifestly to the

God’s grace - openly live in obedience to
God’s law are hindered from adopting and
even fostering. We know of couples who
sought to adopt who were rejected because
of their Christian lifestyle. In one situation,
the wife worked as a secretary for the
church. They were planning to have the

Our rights are present unless specifically
denied through legislation. To live in a
Common Law country is in itself a guarantee
of the rights of the individual.
Sir Robert Menzies in his book “Central
Power in the Australian Commonwealth”
states “except for our inheritance of British
institutions and the principles of Common
Law we have not felt the need of formality
and definitions”.
He further states: “I am glad that the
draftsmen of the Australian Constitution
though they gave close and learned study
to the American Constitution and its
Amendments made little or no attempt to
define individual liberties. They knew that
to define human rights is either to limit
them, for in the long run words must be
given some meaning, or to express them
so broadly that the discipline which is
inherent in all government and ordered
society becomes impossible”.

they do not wish their children to be put in
a home with homosexuals?
Last but not least, Members of Parliament
submit to God and the Bible when they are
sworn into office. It would therefore be
hypocritical to go against God’s law by
subjecting a child to adults who are
practising without shame, but instead pride,
those acts that God calls an abomination.
THE GOOD NEWS is that God’s holy laws,
including the laws against sodomy, were
not written to condemn anyone but to bring
such to repentance. “The Lord is ... not
willing that any should perish, but that all
should come to repentance.” (2 Pet 3:9).
Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to
bring us unto Christ, that we might be
justified by faith. (Gal 3:24). The only way

increasingly important with a Bill of Rights,
particularly as judges are not elected and
therefore lose their accountability. Many in
the Unites States of America feel their
Supreme Court has become a tyrant.

in the Australian Constitution 51- xxix.
We are now accountable to these external
committees with members from some
countries with very few human rights with
Bill of Rights. Now with the proposed Bill
of Rights there is a risk of a proposed non
elected group in Australia becoming
tyrannical and manipulative, with the
possibility of providing employment for their
social engineering friends. The greatest
cause of injustice in this world is from
government instrumentalitities, one of which
we believe this ‘Bill of Rights’ is proposing.
For these and many other reasons we are
opposed to the introduction of a Bill that
will erode our Rights gained through
centuries of vigorous conflict

acknowledge our sin, whether it be sodomy,
fornication (sex outside marriage), stealing
or lying, we need to call out to the Lord to
forgive us and cleanse us from our sin, For
whosoever shall call upon the name of the
Lord shall be saved. (Rom 10:13)

Freedom of Religion. This is a very serious
question, which is deserving of much
thought and deliberation.
Australia is a country
whose freedoms are
world-renowned, and
many people from all
nations of the earth have
immigrated to Australia
for this very reason.
Multitudes escaping the atrocities of the

at various times, others for whom their
country offered no employment or hope
for the future, some just hoping for an
adventure in this marvellous land have

benefits of the stable government, the rule
of law and justice for all and the general
prosperity of this great country. This country
has offered a new life for many recovering
from oppressive regimes in other parts of
the world. This is a current reality; it is the
heritage of Australia.
This generation owes much to the
foresight, wisdom and understanding of our
forbears. By establishing the government
of Australia on the tried and true laws of

the Nobel Laureate panel. It was such an honour to be in the
presence of the laureates and to listen to them speak of their
life and research. To say it was an honour is an understatement,
for their work has been recognised to be of significance for

Wednesday was the big day of judging! All day we sat by our projects
waiting for the judges to come around. The night before I had prayed
hard to the Lord to give me guidance and wisdom. It was a great
feeling to be able to share what I had worked so hard on with the
judges. On the whole, the judges were very friendly and encouraging.
I was glad to have thoroughly practiced answering possible questions
at school, and really thankful that my school had prepared and honed
me thoroughly for this event so when the judges threw difficult questions
at me, I had the answers. In between judging, I was able to have good
conversations with the students around me. That night was the ‘student
mixer’ - a great time to relax and get together with the other students.
It was absolutely awesome, espeically after so much work and
concentration.
Thursday was public visitation day, and that was very enjoyable. People
from around the area came to view our projects. Local school students
alone numbered 4000. The school students went around with assignment
sheets, and asked the finalists questions. The general public was also
there in force, very interested to see the talent that had come to their
city. All through the week, media groups were around, interviewing the
students and covering the fair in general. My family had the chance to
see my display on this particular day. I was happy to see them enjoying
the event and feeling proud of me.
When they said that the smartest people from around the world
were coming, they weren’t exaggerating! Besides the prizes and
competition, the big part of the fun is meeting new people! However,
these people aren’t the stereotypical nerds! They were all very
cool! All the people I met were very smart and passionate, and I quickly. However I left with wonderful memories, new friends,

ever, as with any beneficial activity, we
need to keep it in balance.
A Healthy Bloke

Most have no idea how much their
physical condition undermines their
attempts to love others. They fail to realize
that it takes physical energy to listen, to
serve, to confront, to rebuke. Not only
are physically run-down people short on
energy, but they tend to be easily irritated,
critical, defensive and negative. It is hard
for them to love others, and it is equally
hard for others to love them.
If you’re spiritually and emotionally on
track, but feel burned out, check your diet,
your sleep and your exercise. A few

your church. Get your priorities right.
Promote your personal health, both
physical and mental first, for without it you
will be restricted, useless or dead. Next,
ensure your wife is ‘really’ happy, (not just
submissive) and lastly, love, listen and laugh
with your children, especially teenagers.
Don’t be a ‘too busy’ type of Dad because
children grow up so quickly and you will
miss these precious years. Don’t get over-
worked with job or ministry commitments
that make your family grow up resentful.
The take home message here is for married
men to look after their own home first.
There will always be time later to become
more involved than you are now. So, keep
your ‘busyness’ in check. Learn to say
no. Listen when friends and family advise
you, ‘don’t over -do it!’ Wake up to
yourself and open your eyes to what’s
happening in your family because God will
hold you responsible! Pastors who are
also over-worked need to evaluate their
ministries as they must set a good example
for their men to follow.
A Healthy Australian
Greg Chappell, one of Australia’s finest
batsmen, indicated in his repair manual for
men; ‘making an effort to improve your
health and fitness also has what some
people call an “empowering effect”. Just
knowing you are in good health and good
physical shape boosts your morale and self-
esteem. What you really are experiencing
is a sense of freedom, freedom from all
the limitations imposed on you by being unfit,
overweight, stiff-jointed or prematurely
feeble’7. Unfortunately, our churches are
full of Christian men who have lost this
freedom and have become enslaved and
encumbered with concerns arising from
preventable health problems. Christian
soldiers whose batteries need recharging!
A Healthy Australia
Last year Australia became ‘the world’s
most overweight nation’ 8, therefore, it’s
obviously clear the Christian community
must stay on top of their health so as to be
an example of the Holy Spirit’s power. It
is God’s Spirit that enables us to be in con-
trol of ourselves, particularly the flesh as
we wait upon the Lord and pray for a godly
country, as we pray for our government
and community leaders to uphold traditional
family values and biblical principals, as we
make a stand for righteousness and take
on the spiritual battle.

pro-life school program

HE EDUCATION WRITER FOR
the Sydney Daily Telegraph,
Maralyn Parker, wrote a vitriolic
article about the Choices of Life interactive
schools program, which promotes the
value of every human life.
This program especially focuses on the
value of unborn life, by emphasizing the
humanity of the fetus. The writer
complained that the program is anti-
abortion, pro-abstinence and promotes
Christianity. However, if all public
schools promoted such good values,
there may be many Christian parents
who would not have removed their
children from the public school system.
There are a number of points to be
considered in this matter of which values
should be promoted. In the last census,
72% of people claimed to be Christians.
The Choices of Life program may be
more in harmony with their views than
hard-line feminist, anti-family, anti-
Christian propaganda which is currently
being pushed at tax-payers’ expense.

inform young people of all the issues
involved in such a major life decision as to

need to make a choice, they need
information in order to make an informed
choice. A woman considering abortion
needs to know all the possible ramifications,
in order to make a choice with which she
can live for the rest of her life.
If there were no adverse consequences
from abortion, why have so many women
formed coalitions such as “Operation
Outcry” and “Silent No More” to raise
awareness of how their abortion has
damaged them both physically and
psychologically?
Why has Norma McCorvey, otherwise
known as Jane Roe, openly recanted her
involvement with the Roe vs Wade case
in the USA? With deepest regret and
sorrow of heart, she wishes she could take
her name off the statute books which
allowed abortion on demand. She wishes
she could erase from her memory the faces
of the aborted fetuses as they lay
motionless in plastic bags in the clinic
refrigerator. She wishes she could forget
the memory of the many women whose
fingers dug deep into her wrists, as they
underwent their harrowing operation.
Remember this lady was a very strong and
vocal supporter of abortion rights! Sandra
Cano, the Doe in Doe vs Bolton, companion
case to roe vs Wade, has also publicly
recanted her involvement in this case.
Where is the media hype about these two
monumental reversals in attitude? When
these women were pro-abortion, they were
promoted by the media, held up on national
television as heroes. Now that they are older,
wiser and regretful, they get no publicity
from those same media outlets.
With regard to the issue of whether a public
school should teach anything that derives
from a religious viewpoint, there needs to be
an honest realization that secular does not
mean neutral. Everything is determined by
a worldview. Reason would say that we
need information and evidence for different
worldviews to determine which one makes
the most sense to each person.Why is there
such blatant and hostile discrimination
against a view that has shaped the destiny
of Australia?
Historically, Australia has not been anti-
Christian. Its greatest advances in education,
medicine and health care have often been
achieved by churches and by individual
Christians fulfilling the commands of Jesus
Christ. In these areas and many others,
Australia as a nation owes a lot to our
Christian forbears. It is an ungrateful and
ignorant attitude not to acknowledge the
heritage left to us by those who were
followers of Jesus Christ.
A generation that is not given the knowledge
of Jesus Christ is a generation deprived of
true education, i.e. true knowledge, wisdom
and understanding. Perhaps that explains why
statistics show that 50% of Australian young
people aged between 18 and 25 cannot read
properly. This is simply the natural outcome
of censoring truth out of a system.
We need to pray for Bruce Coleman (below),
President of ‘The Choices of Life’ and others
in their continued fight for the rights of the
unborn. May the Lord give
them success in bringing this
issue to the young generation
of Australians who deserve
to know that life begins at
conception and that “A
person is a person, no
matter how small.”

and murderous dictator Josef Stalin
began life as Iosif Vissarionovich
Djugashvili. He was born in Gori, Georgia,
in the Russian Empire of 1878.1,2 His
mother’s pet name for him was ‘Soso’,
the diminutive of ‘Joseph’. He himself
used many names during his later secret
life, but in 1913, he adopted the name Stalin,
meaning in Russian ‘man of steel’.
Introduction to violence
His father, Vissiaron, or ‘Beso’,
was a violent alcoholic who beat
his son for the least or no
provocation. Once he threw
Soso to the floor so hard that
there was blood in the boy’s urine
for days. Soso was terrified of
the drunken Beso. A friend
wrote, ‘Undeserved beatings
made the boy as hard and
heartless as the father himself’,
and it was thus through his father
that ‘he learned to hate people’.3
In 1888, at age 10, Soso was one
of 150 boys enrolled at Gori’s
excellent Church School. His
mother wanted him to become
a bishop, but the school was
accepting only the children of
priests. A priest solved this problem by
stating that Soso’s father was a deacon.
Soso excelled in Gori’s three main
diversions—town brawls, wrestling
tournaments for all ages, and schoolboy
gang-warfare.

who spied on Soso and regularly searched
his possessions. Black Spot taught the
young Stalin ‘exactly the repressive
tactics—“surveillance, spying, invasion of
inner life, violation of feelings”, in Stalin’s
own words—that he would recreate in his
Soviet police state’.9
In his fifth year, at the end of term, Soso
failed to return. The Seminary Journal
reported that he had declared himself an
atheist, and in May 1899 simply noted that
he had been ‘expelled … for non-
appearance at examinations’.
Revolutionary, Bolshevist, and bank-robber,
Soso now became a streetfighter, gang-
leader, and professional revolutionary
against the Russian monarchy. In 1903, he
joined the Bolshevik
Party10 and became a
specialist in bank
robbery and extortion
to fund Bolshevik
activities. In 1907, in
the town square at
Tiflis, he
masterminded the
armed hold-up of a
Treasury coach
carrying roubles to the
local Imperial Bank,
which netted the
today-equivalent of
about US$3.4 million
for the Bolsheviks.11
Ten bombs were
used. Forty people
were killed. Lenin is reported to have said
that this ‘is exactly the sort of person I need’.
In 1913, Soso changed his name to Stalin.
Although repeatedly arrested and
imprisoned, he often escaped, but then was
exiled to Siberia until 1917. After the
Revolution of that year against Tsar
Nicholas II, he rose rapidly through the
ranks of the Communist Party. Following
the death of Lenin in 1924, he progressively
ousted his rivals, and became Supreme
Leader of the Soviet Union.
Devotees called him the ‘hope of the future
for the workers and peasants of the world’.
However, the confiscations of grain and
other food by Soviet authorities under
Stalin’s orders contributed to a famine that
by 1937 resulted in the death of several
million Soviet peasants.
Mass murderer
In the late 1930s, Stalin consolidated
absolute power for himself by several
campaigns known as the Great Purge or
the Great Terror, to dispose of all political
opponents and anyone he suspected might
threaten his position. He had grasped well
‘the convenience of death as the simplest
and most effective political tool’.12
Those purged were members of the
Communist Party (both opponents and
former comrades), the Red Army, and
indeed every segment of society, including
over 100,000 priests, monks and nuns of
the Russian orthodox church. 13
Montefiore says, ‘During 1937–38 around
one and a half million people were shot.
Stalin personally signed death-lists for
almost 39,000 people, many of them old
acquaintances.’14
Following Stalin’s death, Nikita Khrushchev
emerged as leader of the Soviet Union. In
1956, he famously denounced Stalin’s
crimes in a speech to the 20 th Party
Congress. He said that the purges had
‘resulted in enormous harm to the country’,
and that ‘many of the victims were innocent
and were convicted on the basis of false
confessions extracted by torture’.15
In 1991, Soviet archives became available.
These record that about 800,000 prisoners
were executed (for either political or criminal
offences) under Stalin, while about 1.7 million
died in the Gulag (penal labour camps16) and
some 389,000 perished during ‘ethnic cleansing’
of various groups to ‘internal exile’ in central
Asia and Siberia before, during and after World
War II. Most history researchers regard these
figures as far too low. Montefiore says,
‘Perhaps 20 million had been killed; 28 million
deported, of whom 18 million had slaved in
the Gulags.’17
Why?
How and why did the choir-boy-turned-trainee-
priest become one of the greatest mass murderers
in history,18 one for whom killing a million people
was no different from mowing grass?
Undoubtedly a huge part of the answer goes
back to his reading Darwin at the tender age
of 13. This gave him the ‘justification’ his
mind needed to reject the concept of God and
hence the authority of the Bible in his life.
It also paved the way for him to accept the
atheistic revolutionism of Marx, and to remove
any restraint he might have had to killing off his
opponents, i.e. the ruthless elimination of the
‘unfit’; perhaps, in the process, wreaking
unconscious vengeance for some of his
childhood pain.
The seminary he attended obviously had no
adequate answer for his claims of atheism.
And whatever truth it taught was not helped
by the un-Christlike behaviour of its teachers.
Then, having rejected God and His Word, the
teenage Stalin filled the spiritual vacuum in
his mind with the thoughts and beliefs of
revolutionaries. The rest is history.
Epilogue
Well, not quite all. There is still one chapter to
come. The Bible says: ‘It is appointed for men
once to die, and after this the judgment’
(Hebrews 9:27); ‘all that are in the graves … shall
come forth; … they that have done evil, unto
the resurrection of damnation’ (John 5:28–29)

Muslim - BBC Head of Religion
The reaction of many to the appointment
of Muslim, Aaqil Ahmed to the post of
Head of Religion and Ethics at the BBC
must be—“How is this possible”? Until
now, our public national broadcaster has
been charged with reflecting our Country’s
Christian heritage and ethos. Aaqil Ahmed’s
appointment is controversial because his
background and previous work at Channel
4 has revealed a noticeable bias towards
Islam and multiculturalism
According to The Daily Telegraph, senior
bishops wrote to the BBC’s Director
General Mark Thompson when it was
envisaged that Mr. Ahmed might be
appointed, to question the BBC’s
commitment to Britain’s Christian audience.
The Archbishop of Canterbury had also
raised concerns with Mr. Thompson that
the ‘Christian voice is being sidelined’ after
Mr. Ahmed was first connected to the role.
The appointment could be seen as the
inevitable result of our multicultural society,
in which all religions are viewed as of equal
value. This is the secularist point of view—
that religion should be confined to the home
and the church and excluded from the
public square and the workplace. A cursory
survey of the Christian Legal Centre’s
website (www.christianlegalcentre.com)
will reveal the increasing intolerance of this
ideology as far as Christians are concerned.
It could also be seen as another sign that
our country is in danger of becoming
Islamised, alongside, for example, the fact
that under pressure from Muslims, the
Qur’an is now placed on a higher shelf
than the Bible in courtrooms, or the fact
that Shari’ah Law is used to judge disputes
in Muslim Arbitration Tribunals (now
officially part of the English Legal System).
Our Government appears to make
concessions to the Muslim community, in
contrast to its marginalisation of Christianity
and the rights of Christians in recent years.
Another interpretation is that the
appointment is the result of the European
Directive of 2000, which was implemented
in the UK by the Employment Equality
(Religion or Belief) Regulations 2003.
These ‘equalitarian’ provisions force

employers to appoint an applicant to a role
who is broadly the ‘best person’ for the job—
if the candidate’s religion is ignored, that is.
This applies to every role, except where
there is a ‘genuine and determining
occupational requirement’ that they should
be of a particular religion.
According to The Guardian, Jana Bennett,
director of BBC Vision, said that the areas
of broadcasting that the ‘Knowledge’ jobs
commission (such as religion and ethics) ‘go
to the very heart of the BBC’s public
purposes’. Clearly, the BBC did not think
that the Head of religion and ethics in our
country where 70% of the population still
align themselves with Christianity needed to
be a Christian.
The Lord Jesus said that if the eye is single
the whole body will be full of light. He went
on to warn that if the light becomes darkness
how great will be that darkness (Matt 6:22-
3). When Christianity is no longer the light
of a nation then the nation becomes full of
darkness. Christianity is the only way by
which man may know God. What is required
today is for Christians in this country to stand
up for the Faith and act on what they
believe—that Jesus Christ is indeed the way,
the truth and the life for all that live in 21st

CHINA
Massacre Caused Christian Revival
4 June, 2009 marked the twentieth
anniversary of the Tiananmen Square
massacre, when the Chinese military killed
an estimated 3,000 peaceful demonstrators.
“20 years ago, hundreds of Chinese peaceful
protesters, students and citizens in Beijing,
were massacred by the Chinese military for
their peaceful protest for anti-corruption,
democracy, and human rights,” said Bob Fu,
president of China Aid Association.
Although the Chinese government claimed
that only 200-300 people died in the “June
4 th Incident,” the Chinese Red Cross
estimated that about 2,000-3,000 people
died. Many more people escaped China or
went to prison. The government also
executed over 10,000 people for their
involvement in the protests.
Bob Fu was a junior in his college years in
1989. “I was very disappointed and shocked
when we heard that the Chinese People’s
Army shot its own people.” he explained.
However as a direct result of that bloody
massacre, Fu came to the Lord and was
born again. The government investigated Fu
for his role in the protests, and eventually
he managed to flee to the United States,
where he founded China Aid to promote
religious freedom and respect for human
dignity in China.
The Tiananmen Square massacre resulted
in a revival of interest in the Christian faith.
“God brought redemption from that
tragedy,” Fu explained. “After 1989, the
Gospel in China reached many Chinese
intellectuals, students, professors, writers
and lawyers. Hundreds of thousands of
Chinese intellectuals came to know Christ
after the student movement. Even today, the
revival continues in the urban areas and the
universities in China,” said Fu.
Today, every university in China has a Bible
study group - sometimes even hundreds of
Bible study groups, Fu said. However,
Chinese Christians still suffer from severe
persecution.
“Pray for continued protection for hundreds
of Christian pastors and 100,000 political
prisoners who are still in jail, labor camps
and Chinese gulag. Pray for their family
members and continuing spiritual revival in
China.” Fu requested. “So many churches
are still being raided and persecuted”.
“Prayer transcends politics and nationalities.
On 20th anniversary of the Massacre, a
historic international prayer gathering called
for repentance for apathy and silence before
injustice, for reconciliation and re-formation
for a higher calling,” Fu said.
Christians are called to repent of apathy
toward the massacre and seek the truth
about what happened. It also calls on the
Chinese government to take responsibility
for its actions, repent, compensate the
victims, and allow exiles to return to China.
Fu said that Christians should pray for
China. “China is really at a crossroads,” he
said. “They can either...become a more hard-
line dictatorship - led by atheists who
worship the dragon, and threaten world
peace, or become a nation that worships
the Lamb - the Lord - and be a peacemaker

IRAN
Christian Women Arrested
Iranian security forces arrested Marzieh
Amirizadeh Esmaeilabad and Maryam
Rustampoor on March 5, 2009, labeling them
“anti-government activists,” Voice of the
Martyrs reports.
Since then, the two women have been held
in three different police detention centers and
finally were sent to Evin Prison, which is
notorious for its treatment of women. They
have been subjected to repeated
interrogation, but authorities have told their
families that no judge is available to review
their case.
”Their only crime is that they are committed
Christians who follow the teachings of
Jesus,” Farsi Christian News Network
explained. “They are being unfairly labeled
as ‘anti government activists’ because of the
hostility of the government towards
practicing Christians.”
The prison allows 30-year-old Marzieh and
27-year-old Maryam to call their families on
the telephone for just one minute each day.
Marzieh reported in the last telephone call,
on March 28, that she had an infection and a
high fever. “I am dying,” she said. Maryam
is also ill and needs medical attention.
Bail has been posted at the exorbitant amount
of US $40,000. Authorities also searched the
two women’s apartment, confiscating their
belongings. However, their faith in God
remains strong despite their circumstances.
“I’ve taken up my cross; I now have to bear
it,” one of them said.
Muslims make up 99 percent of the population
of Iran, which is a theocratic Shiite republic,
and Christians make up less than half of one
percent. The constitution guarantees religious
freedom, but in reality, Christians face
discrimination when they try to meet even
the basic needs of their lives, including housing,
education, and employment.
Evangelism and the production of Christian
literature are also prohibited. Defection from

Camden Islamic School Rejected

the NSW Land and Environment
Court for its decision to reject
the appeal of the Qur’anic Soci-
ety concerning their proposed Islamic fun-
damentalist school at Camden.
“I am pleased the NSW Land and
Environment Court has taken into account
the controversial planning issues and the
public interest when it made its decision to
reject their appeal”, said Rev Fred Nile.
The original development application by the
Qur’anic Society had been unanimously
rejected by the Camden Council. (CDP)
Paid Maternity Will Harm Children
“The Rudd government’s paid maternity
leave scheme, announced by media release
on Mother’s Day, could end up harming
Aussie children,” says Mrs Roslyn Phillips,
research officer for Christian family
advocate group FamilyVoice Australia.
“The scheme divides mums into ‘good’ and
‘bad’ categories,” Mrs Phillips says.
“The ‘good’ mums are rewarded for staying
in the workforce. They take just four
months’ leave after the birth, then put their
tiny 18 week babies in daycare,” Mrs
Phillips says. “These mums would receive
$9788 of taxpayers’ money (543.78 x 18).
“But the ‘bad’ mums – who give up their
jobs to give their babies personal loving care
for two years – would receive just $6160
(baby bonus + family tax benefit B).
“In a nutshell, Kevin Rudd and Wayne
Swan are telling mums that they will gain
an extra $3600 by rejoining the workforce
when their babies are a few months old.
It’s a big incentive!
“But that’s not all. The workforce mums
are generally in two-income families with
two tax-free thresholds, so the first $12,000
they earn is tax-free. Single-income families
lose here too – they only receive the first
$6000 tax-free.
“Then there are the childcare subsidies. If
you place your baby in a childcare centre
you receive a direct subsidy for each child,
and an indirect subsidy through government
grants to build the centre. But if you care
for your own baby, you get no subsidy –
even if you have given up a $60,000 salary
to give your baby the best possible care.
“Aussie mums will hear this message loud
and clear,” Mrs Phillips says. “The
government is telling them that long daycare
is fine for tiny babies. But the result could
be disastrous for all Aussie kids.
“In March this year childcare expert Dr Jay
Belsky pointed to the increased aggression
and disobedience shown by children left in
long daycare as babies. He said research
shows these effects continue through later
school years – harming their own education
as well as the progress of other children in
their class who stayed home with their

“Wayne Swan wants to delay paid parental
leave until 2011. He would be wise to delay
it forever,” Mrs Phillips says.

AUSAID ABORTION FUNDING
“Australia needs to know how much money
goes to which overseas countries for
abortion related services under new
AUSAID guidelines,” said The Nationals’
Senator Ron Boswell today.
“At Senate Estimates today I was told by
officials that these funds would be allocated
in block grants to non-government
organisations working in several countries
and that it would be impossible to know
exactly what money was spent in which
country for abortion services.”
“Under soon to be finalised new guidelines,
Australia will for the first time in its history
fund overseas counselling and training for
abortions and even the abortions themselves.”
“Abortion is a serious and sensitive issue
and I believe it is essential that Australians
know exactly what money is spent where
and for what abortions and related activities
including promotion of abortion.”
Senator Boswell said he was also concerned
that the new guidelines and their
administration must make it very clear to
grant users that Australian overseas aid
funding must never be used for sex selection
abortions as is practised in Vietnam.
“It is all very well for AUSAID to say they
would never do such a thing but how do
we know that the NGOs who they give
Australian taxpayer money to will abide by
these rules? There must be careful oversight
of their activities and expenditure. At present
it would appear that that rigour of
accountability is not in place.”

Week’ which
aims to place
the nation’s
focus on
marriage will
be celebrated
throughout
Australia this year. The non-denominational
event is supported by local churches, who
will run a variety of community events that
connect with the values of marriage.
Dennis Outred of ‘Marriage Week’ said that
the national launch has been worked on for
over two years. “Churches have already
started on their event planning, seeking new
ways to honour marriage in their
communities whether through a mass
renewal of vows, a party/lunch honouring
longevity of marriage or starting/restarting
a marriage ministry.”
‘Marriage Week’ has already run
successfully as a ‘pilot’ within Sydney in
2008, and even churches as far away as
Kalgoorlie, WA and Dalby, Qld joined in ‘the
celebrations’.“Whilst taking ‘Marriage
Week’ out nationally is a challenge, we’re
confident ‘Marriage Week’ will receive the
support of regional leaders and churches.

TREATING THE LORD JESUS LATELY?
T
HE ANSWER to the
question is: how we
have been treating fellow
Christians. Jesus said, “...In as
much as ye have done it unto one
of the least of these my brethren,
ye have done it unto me.” (Mt 25:40)
The Bible gives a lot of
instructions about how we by
GOD’S GRACE should relate to
and treat one another.
The following is a summary of ten
New Testament commands we
should by God’s grace endeavour to obey:
1 Be courteous to one another
2 Do good to one another
3 Be hospitable to one another
4 Serve one another
5 Submit to one another
6 Confess your own faults to one another
7 Forgive one another
8 Be compassionate to one another
9 Pray for one another
10 Give to one another
And all the above are summed up in:
LOVE ONE ANOTHER
God has given Christians specific gifts for
the purpose of serving and loving one
another in the church. Some gifts are
specifically given to individuals; other
ministries or qualities are required of EVERY
Christian such as Romans 12:9-19 says:
Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor
that which is evil; cleave to that which is
good. 10Be kindly affectioned one to another
with brotherly love; in honour preferring
one another;... 3Distributing to the necessity
of saints; given to hospitality. 14 Bless them
which persecute you: bless, and curse not.

Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and
weep with them that weep. 16Be of the same
mind one toward another. Mind not high
things, but condescend to men of low estate.
Be not wise in your own conceits. 17
Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide
things honest in the sight of all men. 18If it
be possible, as much as lieth in you, live
peaceably with all men. 19Dearly beloved,
avenge not yourselves, but rather give place
unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is
mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
1. Be courteous
The Bible says we should be courteous
Finally, be ye all of one mind, having
compassion one of another, love as brethren,
be pitiful, be courteous: 9 Not rendering

evil for evil, or railing for railing: but
contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are
thereunto called, that ye should inherit a
blessing. (1Peter 3:8)
We should avoid being rude or arrogant
in the way we treat people and in our
conversations.
Using words like “please” and “thank you”
is our culture’s way of being courteous, as
well as not speaking when someone else is
speaking. Being a good listener rather than
showing signs of boredom or impatience
when someone is speaking. Also smiling and
greeting someone when you see them.
When we are talking with someone we
should seek to find areas of agreement
instead of always correcting the person or
giving him or her ‘unsolicited advice’. Just
because someone asks us to pray about
some problem or concern does not mean
that they need our advice. Often they just
need our support and compassion and God’s
help, not belligerent instructions!
Courteous in the context of 1Peter 3:8 also
means friendly and kind.
We should endeavour to make friends with
Christians, especially those in our own
church, and even more importantly we
should work hard at keeping our
friendships.
We make friends by being friendly,
courteous, kind and hospitable. We
keep friendships by dealing with
our disagreements or quarrels in a
loving kind biblical manner and by
recognising our own faults and
searching our own hearts, instead
of always blaming others. We also
need to try not to offend and not to
get offended, Great peace have they
which love thy law: and nothing shall
offend them. (Psalm 119:165)
2. Do good to one another
And let us not be weary in well doing: for
in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.10
As we have therefore opportunity, let us do
good unto all men, especially unto them
who are of the household of faith. (Galatians
6:9,10). Often we go out of our way to serve
and do good to non-Christians - in order to
show the love of God to them, hoping we
may win them to Christ. This is a good thing
to do, but not if we neglect to do good to
fellow Christians. The Bible says we should
especially do good to those in our own
church. Fellow believers should come first
in our lives. “Charity starts at home”.
Christians are God’s people and God’s
people are our family. Jesus by example
taught us this, “32And the multitude sat
about him, and they said unto him, Behold,
thy mother and thy brethren without seek
for thee.33 And he answered them, saying,
Who is my mother, or my brethren? 34 And
he looked round about on them which sat
about him, and said, Behold my mother and
my brethren! 35 For whosoever shall do the
will of God, the same is my brother, and my
sister, and mother.” (Mrk 3:32-35) The Bible
says that it is actually how we treat fellow
Christians by which non-Christians may
recognise that God is working through us
and that we truly know Him! “By this shall
all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye
have love one to another.” (Jhn 14:35).
3. Be hospitable
The Bible tells us to be hospitable
Distributing to the necessity of saints;
given to hospitality. (Romans 12:13)
Use hospitality one to another without
grudging. (1Peter 4:9)
Hospitality is not just a one way street. We
are not just to lap up another Christian’s
hospitality without giving anything back, but
rather we should serve one another. If
someone is hospitable to us, we should be
hospitable back. If someone invites us for a
meal, we could invite them to our home
for a meal. If we don’t have a suitable home,
we could shout them a meal at a restaurant
or if we’re on a lower budget, a fast food
place. If that’s out of our budget we could
invite them to come along on a picnic and
provide food for them. If we can’t afford
to give someone a sandwich, perhaps we
have the wrong priorities and our financial
management may need some improvement.
The Lord would want us to be able to give
to others, not just receive from others.
I have shewed you all things, how that so
labouring ye ought to support the weak,
and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus,
how he said, It is more blessed to give than
to receive. (Acts 20:35)
Giving hospitality is a sign of Christian
maturity which the Word of God requires
of leaders in the church (pastors, deacons,
bishops, etc). If we do not give hospitality
to others we should not think we are
mature Christians - we still have a lot of
growing up to do. A bishop then must be
blameless, the husband of one wife,... given
to hospitality...(1Titus 3:2) For a bishop
must be blameless, as the steward of God;
not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given
to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre;

But a lover of hospitality... (Titus 1:7)
4. Serve one another
The Bible says we must ‘minister to’, in
other words serve one another, and that
serving another Christian is like serving
Jesus himself. Jesus said, “...Verily I say
unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto
one of the least of these my brethren, ye
have done it unto me.”(Matthew 25:40) As
every man hath received the gift, even so
minister the same one to another, as good
stewards of the manifold grace of God.
(1Peter 4:10)
This is opposite to the ambitious and
arrogant attitude many people have.
Jesus explained how those in positions of
authority bossed those under them around,
but as Christians we should not be like them,
“The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship
over them; and they that
exercise authority upon
them are called
benefactors. 26 But ye
shall not be so: but he
that is greatest among
you, let him be as the
younger; and he that is
chief, as he that doth
serve. 27 For whether is
greater, he that sitteth at
meat, or he that serveth?
is not he that sitteth at
meat? but I am among
you as he that serveth.”
(Luke 22:25-27)
As this verse also
reminds us: For,
brethren, ye have been
called unto liberty; only use not liberty for
an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve
one another. (Galatians 5:13)
We should not judge others in regard to how
well someone serves us, but rather judge
ourselves and ensure we are serving others
by doing our part.
5. Submit to one another
The Bible says we should submit to one
another and especially if a sister or
brother in the Lord is older in age than
we are:
Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto
the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to
another, and be clothed with humility: for
God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace
to the humble. (1Peter 5:5) Let nothing be
done through strife or vainglory; but in
lowliness of mind let each esteem other
better than themselves. Look not every man
on his own things, but every man also on
the things of others. (Phillipians 2:3)
Being submissive is an attitude of co-
peration with others, being willing to allow
another person his way rather than
insisting on our way - bad team players.
You shall rise before the
grey headed and honour the
presence of an old man,
and fear your God:
I am the LORD.
(Leviticus 19:32 NKJV )
As parents we should teach our children to
treat a person old enough to be their parents
with the same respect as we want them to
give us, especially if that person is a
Christian. We should not only respect the
pastor and deacons etc., but everyone in
the church and especially those who are
maturer in the Lord or in age - our ‘senior
citizens’ or rather ‘senior saints’.
Rebuke not an elder, but intreat him as a
father; and the younger men as brethren; 2

6. Confess our own faults
The Bible says we should confess our
faults to one another
Confess your faults one to another, and pray
one for another, ... The effectual fervent
prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
(James 5:16). This does not mean we should
confess another person’s faults to them or
others critically, which we’re prone to do.
We all like to think we have arrived - that we
no longer sin - but this is heresy. The Bible
instructs us many times that Christians will
sin against the Lord and fail each other. If
we say that we have no sin, we deceive
ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we
confess our sins, he is faithful and just to
forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from
all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have
not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word
is not in us. (1John 1:8) By confessing our
faults to each other rather than covering them
up, we will prosper. He that covereth his sins
shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and
forsaketh them shall have mercy. (Prov. 28:13)
When someone has wronged us and we
believe it is God’s will after first praying
about it, that we should get the matter
cleared up, we should then in the spirit of
submissiveness and love, talk to him or her
privately. If thy brother shall trespass against
thee, go and tell him his fault between thee
and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou
hast gained thy brother. (Mat. 18:15)
If Christians were not prone to sin or
quarrel with each other, there would be no
command in the Bible for Christians to
forgive each other.
7. Forgive one another
The Bible says we must forgive
Be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted,
forgiving one another, even as God for
Christ’s sake hath
forgiven you. (Eph 4:32)
and forgiving one
have a quarrel against
any: even as Christ
forgave you, so also do
ye. (Col. 3:13). When ye
stand praying, forgive, if
ye have ought against
any: that your Father
also which is in heaven
may forgive you your
trespasses. (Mrk 11:25). If
thy brother trespass
against thee, rebuke
him; and if he repent,
forgive him. (Luke 17:3).

 8. Be compassionate
The Bible says we are to be compas-
sionate and pitiful (tenderhearted) to
one another.
Finally, be ye all of one mind, having
compassion one of another, love as brethren,
be pitiful, be courteous: (1Peter 3:8)
For ye had compassion of me in my
bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling
of your goods, knowing in
yourselves that ye have in heaven a
better and an enduring substance.
(Hebrews 10:34) But whoso hath this
world’s good, and seeth his brother
have need, and shutteth up his
bowels of compassion from him,
how dwelleth the love of God in
him? (1John 3:17) And of some have
compassion, making a difference: 23
And others save with fear, pulling
them out of the fire; hating even the
garment spotted by the flesh. (Jude
1:22)
9. Pray for one another
The Bible says to pray for others
Always in every prayer of mine for
you all making request with joy, 5For
your fellowship in the gospel from
the first day until now; (Phillipians 1:4)
...Pray one for another, that ye may
be healed. The effectual fervent
prayer of a righteous man availeth
much. (James 5:16) Is any sick among
you? let him call for the elders of the
church; and let them pray over him,
anointing him with oil in the name of the
Lord: 15 And the prayer of faith shall save
the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up;
and if he have committed sins, they shall be
forgiven him. (James 14-15)
Ye also helping together by prayer for us,...
(2 Cor. 1:11) Peter therefore was kept in
prison: but prayer was made without
ceasing of the church unto God for him.
(Acts 12:5)
Praying always with all prayer and
supplication in the Spirit, and watching
thereunto with all perseverance and
supplication for all saints; (Eph. 6:18)
(Just to clarify: When the word ‘saints’ is
used in the Bible, it refers to the
congregation - all those who have accepted
the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord.
It is not referring to people, who because
of their exemplary good works here on
earth, have died and been declared ‘saints’
by any organisation.
10. Give to one another
The Bible says we should be givers
When we give to the church, we are not
just giving to an organisation or offering
bag. We are giving to our Christian
brothers and sisters so they can serve the
Lord better.

as I have given order to the churches of
Galatia, even so do ye. 2 Upon the first day
of the week let every one of you lay by him
in store, as God hath prospered him, that

cheerful and in faith toward God and in a
spirit of love for those who may be the
recipients of our giving. “Every man
according as he purposeth in his heart, so
let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity:
for God loveth a cheerful giver.” (2 Cor. 9:7)
“Hereby perceive we the love of God,
because he laid down his life for us: and
we ought to lay down our lives for the
brethren. 17 But whoso hath this world’s
good, and seeth his brother have need,
and shutteth up his bowels of compassion
from him, how dwelleth the love of God
in him? 18 My little children, let us not
love in word, neither in tongue; but in
deed and in truth.” (1John 3:16). And as
we often say; give & you shall receive!
“Give, and it shall be given unto you;
good measure, pressed down, and shaken
together, and running over, shall men give
into your bosom. For with the same measure
that ye mete withal it shall be measured to
you again.” (Luke 6:38).

us, we ought also to love one

seen God at any time. If we love one
another, God dwelleth in us, and his

And now I beseech thee, lady, not as

So how have you been treating
the Lord Jesus Christ lately?
By assessing how we have been treating
fellow Christians and especially family
members, including our spouse, and ALL
the people in our church, is how we answer
that question honestly. We often forget that
Jesus not only commands us to love God
but to love our brothers and sisters in Christ.
He says that loving them is loving Him.
Failing to love people - even those we
consider least worthy of our attention, is
failing to love Him. “...Verily I say unto you,
inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least
of these, ye did it not to me.” (Matthew 25:45)

The wonderful thing about Jesus’ very high
standards is that He gives us the grace and
empowers us to obey Him. He also
forgives us when we confess our sins to
Him. He forgave Peter when he denied him
and was ashamed to know him just prior
to his trial and crucifixion. The Lord Jesus
will also forgive us if we have treated a
brother or sister in the Lord unlovingly,
when we ask His forgiveness. He restores
us and gives us new opportunities every
day to love Him by providing new
opportunities to love the people he puts in
our lives; especially His people and those
we find hardest to love. Loving them is
loving Him

March 2009, conservative
Queenslanders watched their television
screens dumbfounded as the results of the
Queensland election became more and
more apparent.
Despite the opposition spending thousands,
if not millions, in an advertising campaign,
reminding voters that the QLD Labor
government had recklessly accumulated
$74 billion worth of debt, Ms Bligh and her
Labor accomplices to this enormous debt
were still re-elected!
This debt was not even due to the alleged
‘world wide recession’. The majority of this
debt was incurred in boom times, when it
should have been easy to balance the
government budget!
When a government is so obviously guilty
of financial mismanagement, to say the
least, and yet be re-elected for a 5th term, it
appears too many Queenslanders have
become complacent regarding debt, both
personal and government.
Debt is not a problem? The idea that if you
tell enough people a lie often enough, you
can get the majority to believe it, appeared
to be true during the 2009 Queensland
election. The Labor propaganda machine
managed to convince enough people that
the debt was not a problem and therefore
were able to win a majority of seats.
It now seems that debt is not
viewed as wrong; it is just
another alternative lifestyle. It
is not considered wrong
because the Bible - the true
standard by which we should
determine whether something
is right or wrong - is
increasingly being ignored.

today because we, as a nation,

The Reserve Bank of Australia is trying to
save the “sinking ship” by dropping the
interest rates - working on the theory that
if we drop the interest rates it will make
things better. If this is correct, why bring
in a usury system which has caused this
economic melt-down in the first place? It
is time the Government and the Reserve
Bank of Australia adopted other methods
for controlling inflation. For example, it
would be much better to only allow fixed
interest rate home loans so people don’t get
trapped by variable interest rates. It would
also be better to limit the proportion of a
person’s income that can be considered for
repayments to 20% or less so home buyers
will be much less likely to struggle with
repayments. Another method would be to
limit the length of home loan contracts.
Better still, if Australians saved up to buy
houses instead of borrowing money to buy
houses then the price of houses would be
lower, they would be very much more
affordable and no one would lose their
house because of not being able to pay the
loan. The same could be said for cars, home
improvements, furniture and many other
things people borrow money to purchase.
The Australian government could help by
not taxing interest on savings and
investments to encourage a culture of
saving rather than a culture of borrowing.
They say it’s as bad as 1929, but it is worse
than 1929 in that each nation owned its
assets in 1929. Today the assets have been
sold off, so therefore we are at the mercy
of world bankers. And whoever holds the
purse strings calls the tune. Australians need
to return to doing things the way God
recommends to free us from foreign
financiers who are totally unaccountable to
the Australian people. We’re no different
now than the Old Testament times when
God’s people went into slavery.
The Bible also has much to say about how
we should treat our fellow Australians:
If there be among you a poor man of one
of thy brethren within any of thy gates in

thee, thou shalt not harden thine heart, nor
shut thine hand from thy poor brother: 8
But thou shalt open thine hand wide unto
him, and shalt surely lend him sufficient
for his need, in that which he wanteth.
(De 15:7)“Thou shalt not lend upon usury
to thy brother; usury of money, usury of
victuals, usury of any thing that is lent
upon usury:” (De 23:19).
If these Scriptures should apply to a
nation, how much more should they apply
to Christians?
Yet Christians have largely ignored God’s
Word even in regard to their own personal
financial dealings. Churches have hardly
touched on this subject except for preaching
God’s requirement for His people to tithe.
Why is it that churches teach and Christians
generally obey the Old Testament’s
command to tithe - financially giving 10%
of their income to the Lord through the
church - but they do not know the warnings
about usury and that the borrower is servant
(slave) to the lender? Though tithing is not
specifically commanded in the New
Testament. Jesus did not come to destroy
the law but to fulfil it. Therefore
Christians obey the Old Testament
principle of tithing. Perhaps Christians
would also heed the warning against usury
if they knew about it.
For most of history, Christians of all
persuasions and denominations did have
great disdain for usury and would have
nothing to do with it. Unfortunately this
truth has been lost along with so many
other convictions believed essential from
the perspective of our forefather’s Biblical
world view.
The Stewards Foundation is one Christian
organisation which has taken on banking,
and would have done well if it provided no
interest loans. But unfortunately this
organisation also fails to obey God’s basic
banking principles for His people. For
example the Bible says, Unto a stranger thou
mayest lend upon usury; but unto thy brother
thou shalt not lend upon usury: that the
LORD thy God may bless thee in all that
thou settest thine hand to in the land whither
thou goest to possess it. (Deuteronomy 23:20)
So in the light of Bible teaching the Stewards
Foundation fails in that it charges interest
to God’s people and worse than that,
Christians who want to borrow for a home
loan are instead directed to the world’s
system, which traps people with rising
variable interest rates often resulting in
their bankruptcy.
In the USA, where this so called recession
allegedly started, banks provided home loans
at fixed 2% interest. After two years the
banks raised the interest rates to over 13 %!
This can only be described as abominable
extortion. Yet the government, which is
supposed to protect its people, allowed it to
happen. Therefore it is evident that there is
a bigger more sinister plan behind all this,
and that is to bring in the New World Order
as prophesied in the Bible. The following
verse is referring to the Anti-Christ world
dictator: 16 And he causeth all, both small
and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to
receive a mark in their right hand, or in
their foreheads: 17 And that no man might
buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or
the name of the beast, or the number of his
name. 18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath
understanding count the number of the
beast: for it is the number of a man; and
his number is Six hundred threescore and
six. (Revelation 13:16-18)
This New World Order will incorporate
the new financial system which will lead
undoubtedly to everyone being presented
with the irreversible and final decision:
whether or not to receive the mark of
the Beast’ ‘666’ in their hand or forehead
as prophesied in Revelation. The mark
that allows them to trade and live, and
yet at the same time condemns them to
death and hell.
Because Christian Churches haven’t
been teaching Biblical knowledge
regarding finance, God’s people are
being destroyed along with non
believers, because they too are losing
their homes needlessly. God says, My
people are destroyed for lack of
knowledge: because thou hast rejected
knowledge, I will also reject thee, that
thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou
hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will
also forget thy children. (Hosea 4:6)
The most important question Christians
need to ask is: what does the Bible say
about finance? It is written, Man shall
not live by bread alone, but by every
word that proceedeth out of the mouth
of God. (Matthew 4:4). And ye shall know
the truth, and the truth shall make you
free. (John 8:32).God’s Word not only
enables us to be spiritually free but if
we apply His wisdom and principles
such as, The rich ruleth over the poor,
and the borrower is servant to the lender. (Pr
22:7) we would also stay out of financial
bondage. To the contrary, it’s not unusual
to hear a young married couple ask for prayer
at a church prayer meeting; that the bank
will give them the $400,000 home loan
they’ve applied for, and then next week hear
them say, “We’re praising God that we got
our $400,000 home loan!” (Thousands of
other people who didn’t pray to God also
got their home loans from banks). Did the
Christian couple ever consult the Lord? Did
the pastor counsel them about what the Bible
says about finances and especially usury?
Were they warned that, “the borrower is
servant to the lender”? Did they seek His
will and counsel through His Word? What
happens when they cannot afford to pay
the home loan and they lose all the money
that has been extracted out of their hard
earned wages for years as well as their home
and dignity? Will they then blame the Lord?
Probably, even though they didn’t do it His
way in the first place. They then get offended
at God and stop going to church. Even
though God’s Word says, Great peace have
they which love thy law and nothing shall
offend them. We would be less offended
at God if we read His Word and obeyed it,
rather than following the world’s covetous
ways and practices motivated by, “the love
of money ... the root of all evil” and lusting
after bigger, better, newer houses and/or
cars etc., trying to serve God and
*mammon (*money and possessions). No
man can serve two masters: for either
he will hate the one, and love the
other; or else he will hold to the one,
and despise the other. Ye cannot serve
God and mammon. (Mt 6:24). God says
to: Owe no man any thing, but to love
one another: for he that loveth another
hath fulfilled the law. (Ro 13:8).
Unfortunately, the price of homes (and
particularly the land they are built on)
in many parts of Australia has
increased as a direct result of people
borrowing money to buy them. The
price of a block of land is what
someone is prepared to pay for it. If
no one wants to buy a block of land
then its value is zero. This is seen in
some remote rural communities where
we sometimes see house blocks sold
for $1. If no one wanted to buy houses
and land at any location whether it is a
high priced city location or not, the
value would fall to zero. This doesn’t
usually happen but it can.
In England for example, many houses
have been repossessed by banks in
recent years; not because the loan
repayments were not up to date, but
rather because the value of the houses
fell so the money owing was more
than what the property was worth. The
owners were happy and capable of
meeting the loan repayments on time
but the banks sold the homes and
evicted the owners anyway!
When considering the cost of a home loan,
it would be wise to consider; would you be
happy paying this amount in rent? If you
lose the property you are buying then the
repayments have become like rent - you
have nothing in the end. On some
occasions when rents keep rising, a fixed
interest mortgage may be a wise way to
avoid future rent increases but the interest
on the loan must be fixed for the duration
to have certainty. Be wise, count the cost.
Do not overspend. For which of you,
intending to build a tower, sitteth not down
first, and counteth the cost, whether he
have sufficient to finish it? (Luke 14:28).

The trouble is today’s churches no longer
teach the full counsel of God regarding
finances. If Christians desire to find out
God’s will on finances they must study
God’s Word, Study to shew thyself approved
unto God, a workman that needeth not to
be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of
truth. (2Ti 2:15). If God’s people were living
by faith and loved one another as God’s
Spirit ruling in their hearts would compel
them to do, this could result in the wealthy
Christians giving the poorer Christians
financial help to provide them with homes.
Not necessarily mansions, but at least a roof
over their head. Chapter four of Acts
records the ‘commonwealth’ of the Church:

And when they had prayed, the place was
shaken where they were assembled together;
and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost,
word of God with
boldness. 32 And the
multitude of them
that believed were of
one heart and of one
soul: neither said any
of them that ought of
the things which he
possessed was his own; but they had all things

lacked: for as many as were possessors of
lands or houses sold them, and brought the
prices of the things that were sold, 35 And laid

Having land, sold it, and brought the money,
and laid it at the apostles’ feet. (Acts 4:32-37).
This was not forced or coerced giving such
as cults, communism and socialism dictate.
This was completely voluntary on the part of
the givers and God was greatly glorified.
I know a family, whose parents were able to
lend their newly married son and his wife the
said: “There are 8 essential elements for
the creation of a contract, ie: (1) offer;
(2) acceptance; (3) sufficient
consideration; (4) intention to enter legal
relations; (5) capacity to contract; (6)
legality of purpose; (7) genuine consent;
and (8) certainty of terms.”
Armed with this knowledge and learning of
the widespread suffering being inflicted by
this thievery, I tried to achieve a political
remedy through a couple of political parties
with the final one being the Liberal Party
for which I was a delegate to two State
Conferences when, with the support of the
ordinary members of the Parramatta Branch,
I made presentations calling for the
elimination of the variable interest rate scam
and the return to truth in lending. On both
occasions, the ordinary delegates
vociferously agreed BUT the executive
quashed my attempts.
Then, in 1996, I decided to file a
Statement of Claim in the NSW Supreme
Court for “tort” against the St. George
Bank Limited asking for “Severance”, ie:
‘the removal of the bad part of a contract
in order to restore its validity”. The case
was cane down to one word, and that
word was “variable” which the Oxford
English Dictionary defines as
“uncertain”. But, to my astonishment,
the Judge, a Master Greenwood, handed
down that “the rate is indeed certain” and
he fled from the courtroom as I called
him a liar and a traitor.
Since 1996, I have continually tried to
money for a home, interest free! If
Christians loved one another like these
parents loved their son, Christians could set
up an interest free loan system. Muslims
have done that!
But instead God’s people are going into
slavery to ‘Egypt’ - the world - by
borrowing hundreds of thousands of dollars,
which often end up being over a million
dollars once usury/interest is added. Not to
mention the foolishness of falling into the
most wicked banking system trap of all -
variable interest rates. In the 1980’s when
Mr Keating (Labor) was treasurer, interest
rates went from 6% to 18% in just a couple
of years. This could happen again. One
reason people, including Christians,
subject themselves to such cruel masters
is often because they wish to appear more
wealthy than they really are! Others
believe it is just wise business. But is it
God’s way? What does the Bible say: 6But
godliness with contentment is great gain.

For we brought nothing into this world,
and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

And having food and raiment let us be
therewith content. (Titus 6:6-8)
Did the Bible command the young married
establish a one-word truth in Australian
Courts, ie; that “variable” means
“uncertain”. The Judges know that, if this
one-word truth is a judgment, then the banks
are guilty of fraud and justice will prevail.
I have never had a Jury for any of the
court actions by or against me. I have
even paid the “Jury Retention Fee” seven
times (never refunded).
Judges are the Banks’ partners-in-crime
because they conceal the fraud by denying
you your Right to Trial by Jury. The denial
of Trial by Jury is Treason because Trial
by Jury is the traditional mandate of
Democracy, for Justice for all, accountable
government and no arbitrary imprisonment
(see: the Magna Carta Monument in
Canberra). Writs of Possession can only be
awarded by Juries. No Parliament has the
power to take away the Rights of the People
and any legislation attempting to do so is
Treachery and Treachery is punishable by
“Imprisonment for life” (see: Crimes Act
1914, s 24AA).
Trial by jury is Christianity in action
We have liberty in Christ Jesus. (Gal. 2:
4). Trial by jury is the palladium of liberty.
A jury is an ecclesia, ie: a gathering, of
twelve free men and women who ask “So
help me God”.
Trial by an ecclesia is Christianity
(Matthew 18:15 -19).
All law hangs on loving God and loving
your neighbour as yourself. (Matthew
22:35 - 40).

Denying trial by jury is denying Christianity.
Over the last 13 years I have been subjected
to never-ending “Kangaroo Courts”, ie:
“courts that act unfairly or dishonestly or
disregard legal rights or disregard legal
procedures”. I have been imprisoned and
“bankrupted” and had “Writs of Possession”
that have taken my home (which I managed
to buy back) and my dental surgery (which I
am refusing to walk away from even though
more kangaroo courts keep on “convicting”
me for “remaining on inclosed land”.

repeatedly being denied my Right to Trial by
Jury and these “evil counsellors, judges and
ministers” (exact words for the Bill of Rights
1688 .. Constitutional and, more importantly,
Common Law in Australia) use the mindless
force of the Sheriffs to impose their
wickedness. The Sheriffs are directed to
disobey their sworn duty “to ensure that
people can exercise their rights in court in
safety”, and their excuse it that they “are
just following orders” …which is what the
GESTAPO tried at the Nuremberg Trials
… it was unacceptable then and is
unacceptable now.

Even the common sense on the bumper
sticker on the back of the old car which
says, “At least I own it!” is more in line
with God’s way than many Christian
families where mum sings as she kisses her

work I go”. Is this provoked by the
preaching of the ‘prosperity gospel’? The
tragedy of this is that when we say God
says something He doesn’t say, it’s
blasphemy and when we believe God is
something He isn’t, it’s idolatry. If we want
to avoid the destruction, the blasphemy and
the idolatry that comes from ignorance, we
should study and obey God’s Word, Yea, if
thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up
thy voice for understanding; 4 If thou seekest
her as silver, and searchest for her as for
hid treasures; 5 Then shalt thou understand
the fear of the LORD, and find the
knowledge of God. 6 For the LORD giveth
wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge

A graveyard that would stretch around the world

Bill Harrell, pastor of Abilene Baptist
Church in Augusta, has done some
interesting calculating concerning the
estimated 45 million babies that have been
aborted since the Roe v. Wade Supreme
Court decision of 1973.
Harrell asks, “What is the magnitude of
the burials of the babies aborted since Roe
v. Wade? How large a cemetery would it
take to bury all these babies?”
The Abilene pastor concludes that the
standard grave is three feet wide. He has
determined that 45,000,000 graves

Marx and Darwin
Karl Marx read Darwin’s Origin of Species
soon after its publication in 1859 in England.
This provided what Marx believed was a
scientific rationale to deny creation and, by
extension, to deny God. He immediately
believed that it supported his worldview that
the major ‘struggle for existence’ among
humans occurred between the social classes
(classes being likened to species). In 1861,
he wrote to his friend Ferdinand Lassalle,
‘Darwin’s work is most important and suits
my purpose in that it provides a basis in
natural science for the historical class
struggle.’1
In 1873, Karl Marx sent Darwin a copy of
his own book Das Kapital with a personal
inscription. Harvard evolutionist and
Marxist, the late Stephen Jay Gould,
corroborates this by reporting that he saw
this volume (in Darwin’s library at Down
House), in which Marx calls himself ‘a
sincere admirer’ of Darwin. Darwin
multiplied by 3 feet equals 135,000,000
feet of graves if they were placed side
by side.
Harrell then divided 135,000,000 feet by
5,280 feet (one mile) and got 25,568
miles of graves. The circumference of
the earth is 24,901 miles. Therefore, the
graves of all the aborted babies in
America since 1973 would extend all the
way around the world at the equator plus
an additional 667 miles.
To look at it another way consider that a
standard grave is 3 feet times 8 feet or 24
square feet. If you multiply 24 square feet
and 45,000,000 (number of graves of
responded with a polite ‘thank you’ letter,
but apparently never read the book, as most
of the pages are uncut.2
However, it is an urban myth that Marx
wanted to dedicate his book to Darwin.
Rather, the request for dedication came from
Marx’s daughter’s lover, Edward Aveling.3

N 20TH JANUARY THIS
year, 47-year-old Barack
Hussein Obama was
sworn in as the 44th president
of the United States of America.
Millions of adoring sycophants
streamed into Washington, DC,
to catch a glimpse of their idol.
Two days later, somber pro-lifers gathered in
the same city to observe another anniversary
of the worst Supreme Court decision since Dred
Scott, and to mourn the senseless slaughter of
50 million unborn babies over the last 36 years.
Oddly, if exit polls are to be believed, some
people were there for both events.
Barack Obama was a child when seven
misguided old men in black robes gave us Roe
v. Wade, an infamous ruling that invented a
“right to privacy.” Since then, we have become
convinced that this right is in our constitution.
Consequently, Obama has never known an
America that did not allow women the right to
snuff out the life of their babies in their wombs.
Courts and Congresses since then have agreed
that there should be reasonable limits on the
right to kill unborn babies, but our new president
has a different view.
It’s not merely that Obama favors the unfettered
right of a woman to terminate the life of her
baby right up to the moment of his or her birth.
Many liberals fall into that category. You will
recall that Bill Clinton vetoed the federal ban on
partial birth abortion while he was president;
and the U.S. Supreme Court struck down
Nebraska’s ban on the same ghoulish
procedure. The federal ban would surely fail in
today’s House or Senate. (Thank God such
to control her own body,’ ‘terminating a pregnancy,’
‘freedom of choice,’ ‘a woman’s own private medical
decision,’ ‘a procedure,’ ‘access to health care,’ ‘family
planning.’”
Call abortion “freedom of choice” if you wish, but it is still
the slaughter of innocents. You can put an “Essence of
Peppermint” label on a bottle of arsenic, but it doesn’t alter
the fact that the bottle contains poison.
The Bible never tones down the fact of sin. Sin is never
softened with explanations of extenuating circumstances.
The Word of God does not call sin a mistake in judgment,
the absence of light, nor a blunder. It simply calls it sin.
In fact, Proverbs 6:16-19 lists seven things God hates, one
of which is “hands that shed innocent blood.” There are
those who contend that these words refer to those who
abort babies. All I know is that if it’s all the same to you, I
am seeking God’s mercy, not his wrath

So Obama had to lean far, far to the left on this issue
to find himself in a minority in the pro-abortion
Democrat Party. It was not easy. I mean, how does
one position oneself further outside the mainstream
than those who favor the right to pull a fully developed
baby from the womb, stab him or her in the base of
his or her skull and then vacuum out his or her brain
matter until he or she is dead?
By voting repeatedly against a bill that would protect
the right to life of an infant born alive after a botched
abortion; that’s how.
Barack Obama voted against just such a bill when he
was a Senator in the Illinois State Senate. At the time,
his rationale was that the legislation would interfere
with “a woman’s right to choose” by changing the
decision made by a woman and her doctor. In other
words, Obama is so steeped in the culture of death
that he believes once a woman has made the decision
to kill her baby, that act should not be stopped even
after the baby has been born!
Such thinking is so strange and so cruel as to be
bizarre. A similar bill the same year in the United States
Senate passed unanimously. Unanimously! That
means that the most radically pro-abortion members
of the Senate (Ted Kennedy, Barbara Boxer, Diane
Feinstein, Hillary Clinton) all agreed that protecting
the life of a baby born alive after a failed abortion
was reasonable. But not Barack Obama.
Early on in his campaign for president, Obama stood
before a gathering of Planned Parenthood and
promised to sign the Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA),
which would repeal or override every state and federal
restriction on abortion enacted over the last 36 years.
The great irony in this is that Margaret Sanger, the
founder of that organization would have advocated
the extermination of Barack Obama, his wife and his
children. This evil woman was a supporter of Adolf
Hitler and the Eugenics movement. She was a
promoter of abortion for the purpose of exterminating
blacks and other minorities.
How vile that Barack Obama would embrace such a
culture of death. More vile still is the fact that so
many ignorant pro-lifers voted for this man to be
their President
