Please explain your expectations from studying in Trkiye and express your future plans

I would expect studying in Turkey will provide immense experience that will have great impact in my life. Experience
that will influence my career path and my view of the world. My self-confidence will increase and I will learn to
become more independent. I will also able to spend time exploring another culture and in return learn more about
myself. As a result, I will be more mature and enable to tolerate ambiguity. These learning experiences will have
impact on my world view and issues of current events will be perceived from several perspectives. Turkey provides
diversity in cultural values and thoughts. I will able to interact with people from different culture and seek out a
greater diversity of friends. I will understand my own cultural values and biases better and contribute to a more
sophisticated way of looking at the world.
One day, I hope to become a renowned engineer who has helped make the world a better place to live. I want to
become an innovator and an inventor who never stop create and recreate. I also like to be involved in politics and
represent my people, understanding their problems and assisting them. I would like to be an effective leader that
respectful of other cultures, political and economic systems and willing to take a stand for the worlds welfare not just
my own. Studying abroad offers so many life-changing and enduring academic, career, intercultural, personal, and
social benefits. I expect to gain all these when studying in Turkey.

Please explain the reasons why you choose Trkiye for higher education
Turkey is rich with traditions from Ottomon, European and Middle Eastern. The country itself is geographically
transcontinental, spanning the divide between Europe and Middle East. Studying in Turkey will enable me to get the
best of both worlds - Eastern and Western compared to studying in Europe. Turkey is such a fascinating place
especially after reading about its history. A visit from Malaysian Prime Minister to Turkey recently, has also influenced
my decision to live and study there.
Apart from its historical monuments, varieties of food and culture, Turkey has so much to offer in term of education.
Turkey has some of oldest universities in the world. Istanbul University is one of the top universities in the world. I
managed to learn about some universities through the Internet and learned that universities in Turkey have modern
and well equip facilities. The universities are large and accommodate thousands of students. They also offer many
professional courses besides engaging in international relationships with other countries in research and education.
The universities are rapidly expanding meaning that knowledge and technology are always at cutting edge. I have
confidence in pursuing my degree in Turkey. I will be able to learn so much about education in Turkey and apply
them back at my home country.
Please express the reasons for your department/program of study preferences and briefly explain how
your educational background relates to your preferences
Engineering is a fascinating and interesting field. It involves a lot of calculations and problem solving. It's an area
that continually change and evolve in a way that even experienced professionals are continually learning and
refreshing their knowledge. This constant change is so appealing to me. Studying engineering courses at a Technical
Secondary School provided wider perspective of the world of engineers. My involvement in International and National
Robotic Competitions had also influenced my study preference. I developed skills that are transferable to most
industries such as problem solving, decision making, innovation, project management, team working and
communication. I also participated in many other competitions of innovation and creativity. They somehow have
impact on my interest in the field of engineering.

An engineering-based education also allows me exposure to various technical subjects and skill sets. I am good at
science and math but engineers don't just study science and math. They learn about economics, business, ethics and
communication. Many of the skills that engineers master naturally prepare them for other types of business.
Engineers address real-world problems. They fix things that are broken, improve those that work and come up with
new inventions. Engineers help move the world toward a brighter future by solving problems with pollution, finding
ways to harness new energy sources, producing new medicines, and building new structures. Engineers apply
principles of ethics to try to find the best answer to a question. Engineers help people.
