SITUATION VACANT NOTICE NO. 02/2014



Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority requires services of qualified individuals to fill the following
vacant posts:

1. FOR NEW ISLAMABAD INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT PROJECT ON CONTRACT BASIS

S. No. 1 Chief Finance Officer (PG-10) (01 Position on Merit)
(Pay Scale: 42,625 - 2,630 - 95,225)
Contract: 02 years (Extendable)
The incumbent will be required to:
Provide leadership and strategy for all financial services at the Project
Assist project on all strategic and tactical matters relating to Budget Management, Cost/Benefit Analysis,
Forecasting Needs & Fund Management
Oversee all Financial and Fiscal Management aspects of the Project.
QUALIFICATION
CIMA / FCA / CPA / MBA (Finance & Accounts) from reputable International / Foreign
Institute recognized by HEC with minimum CGPA as 3.0.
Experience Must possess proven track record of successful completion of projects / mega
projects in Pakistan and abroad in terms of their financial and fiscal
management.
Minimum 15 years experience of handling similar projects with specific
experience on Strategic Financial Planning and Control of a project / mega
project.
AGE Maximum 50 years.
S. No. 2 Senior Mechanical Engineer (PG-09) (01 Position on Merit)

QUALIFICATION BE (Mechanical) / BSc (Mechanical Engineering) / BS (Mechanical Engineering) at
least 2

Division or 3.0 CGPA from a HEC recognized University.
Candidates must be registered with Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC).
The candidate must be Foreign Qualified from reputable International Engineering
Institute or a Graduate from one of the top five Engineering Universities of Pakistan as
per HEC ranking.
Experience Minimum 10 years of experience of working at various projects / mega projects in the
relevant field. Experience of handling Mechanical Engineering or M & E related Airport
construction project, if any, should be specified separately
AGE Maximum 40 years

a) Interested candidates who meet the criteria of the position mentioned at Sr. No 1 are required to fill the
Bio Data Form available at www.caapakistan.com.pk and the duly filled application form alongwith CV, 02

b) Interested canididates who meet the criteria of the positions mentioned from Sr. No.2 to Sr. No 9 are

d) The applicants shall deposit amount of Rs.1000/- (non refundable) in favour of HQ CAA, Karachi
through online transfer facility in National Bank of Pakistan, Terminal-1 Branch, Jinnah International
Airport, Karachi (Account Title: CAA Collection Account, Branch Code 0003, Account # 2561-8).

e) Applicants would be required to attach the original bank deposit receipt with the application otherwise
their application will not be entertained.

Note:

i) Age relaxation as per Government rules (visit www.caapakistan.com.pk for further details).
ii) Candidates not fulfilling the above requirements or submitting incomplete applications shall not be
considered.

iii) Written Tests shall be conducted through 3
rd
party or as decided by the Competent Authority.
iv) Test / Interview will be conducted at Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar and Quetta for which
separate notices will be issued (depending on the number of candidates).

v) No TA / DA is admissible for test / interview.
vi) Appointment will be subject to CAAs medical fitness standards.
vii) Selected candidates may be required to serve anywhere in Pakistan.
viii) Government servants / employees of autonomous bodies / corporations including CAA employees
should send their applications through proper channel.

ix) Application received after due date will not be considered / entertained.
x) Selected candidates for the posts at Sr. # 8 shall undergo basic training at Civil Aviation Training
Institute, Hyderabad and during training they will get fixed stipend. Their appointment will be subject to
successful completion of training. They shall also be required to execute a standard Surety Bond for a
sum of Rs.500,000/- (Rupees Five Hundred Thousand Only) at the time of joining in CAA.

xi) Misinformation and any attempt to influence the selection process will be considered as a definite
disqualification for current as well as future recruitment in CAA, even if the candidate is otherwise
qualified.

xii) In case, any educational documents found fake / bogus at any stage, the services of selected
candidate will be terminated immediately and he / she will be blacklisted in future.
