Well a number of the
Parish men are off to
promise Keepers again.
We're anticipating the
usual line up of good
speakers challenging us about our role
as men in the church, our marriages
and working environments. There's
also the great music, food, fun and
fellowship and of course the road trip
over and back again. Keep us in your
prayers that it turns out to be all we
hope it to be.
Welcome also to Warwick
Pascoe of Christchurch who is
preaching today on the wonder of
God's creation represented in us as
human beings from conception through
to birth and beyond.
NEWCOMERS NIGHT
On Tues Sept 1st 7:30pm we will be
running a newcomers evening at 186
Main South Rd, Karoro for those new
to the parish, where along with some
desserts we explain how the church
works and give people the opportunity
to ask questions. If you're new to the
church or just want to know more then
this is the place to come along to.

PREACHING SEMINAR
On Tuesday the 18th at 7pm at
Cobden church Mark Chamberlain and
Peter Carrell will be presenting a
workshop on preaching. This will be a
very practical workshop to which I
would like all our current preachers and
those interested in preaching to attend.
There will be lot's of tips and advice.
You can come early with your meal to
munch with Peter and Mark from 6pm.
WORSHIP LEADING SEMINAR
On Tues 25th of August at 7pm at Holy
Trinity Church Mark and Peter will also
be hosting a training session on how to
lead worship on Sunday mornings. I
would encourage all who lead worship
on Sundays to attend.

student. I am wondering if there might
be a family or someone in the church
that would be keen to have me come
and board for 5 weeks, while I am on
Lounge on Sunday 16 August at
7.30pm. All Welcome.

placement at Grey Base Hospital, Our next Pizza Day is coming up and
the order forms are at the back of each
working in the community paediatrics
setting. Dates are August 31st to 2nd church so make sure you order your
pizza's asap. $5 each and perfect for

SOME FORWARD DATES On Saturday 22nd straight after the
1st Sept - Newcomers Evening music group practice we'll be having a
5-8th Nov - Okarito Parish Fishing Trip meeting of all those involved in music,
11th Nov - Missions Speaker on Islam sound desk, etc. to discuss how we're
going and any future developments.
