Under the powers conferred by Section 4A of the Banaras Hindu University Act, 1915, as amended, and
under the provision of Cause ! of Section 1" of this Act, the Banaras Hindu University hereby institutes

1* A candidate admitted to the B*Com* )Hons*+ course sha be permitted to appear at the University
0.aminations ony when he1she has been enroed as a student of the Banaras Hindu University
and has paid the 0nroment /ee prescribed herein%after by the -rdinances*
#* &o 2uaify for the B*Com* )Hons*+ 'e(ree, the candidates must 3
)i+ /ufi the minimum re2uirement for entrance as prescribed in the B*Com*)Hons*+ entrance

)ii+ Attend a re(uar course of ectures, and do to the satisfaction of the /acuty, such tutorias,
sessionas and practicas, as may be prescribed in the -rdinances for the B*Com* )Hons*+

)Hons*+ course sha pursue for a period of three academic sessions of the re(uar courses of

4* A student of the B*Com* )Hons*+
course sha not be permitted to see, admission to any other e2uivaent or hi(her 'e(ree or
'ipoma 0.amination in the University*
5* )a+ Attendance re2uirement for permission to appear at the e.amination sha be as per University
rues*
)b+ &he attendance of a newy admitted candidate sha be counted from the date of his1her admission
whie in the case of a promoted candidate, attendance sha be counted from the date on which
the respective casses be(in*

)c+ A newy admitted student whose attendance is #56 or above but beow the re2uired percenta(e of
attendance for appearin( in the e.amination sha be ei(ibe for re%admission in the subse2uent
session without appearin( in the 0ntrance &est, if otherwise 2uaified*
)d+ 7here a candidate has faied to put the re2uired minimum percenta(e of attendance for appearin(
in any e.amination, he sha be re2uired to see, re%admission in the subse2uent session* 8n case
of chan(e of syabus, such a candidate wi be re2uired to study the new syabus introduced in

aso contain the division as prescribed in Cause # of -rdinance 4*
Eotwithstandin( any provisions in the -rdinance to the contrary in the case of an e.aminee3
)a+ 7ho secured first division at the precedin( e.aminationF
)b+ 7ho havin( been duy admitted to a re(uar e.amination of the University is1was unabe
to ta,e that e.amination either in fu or in some papers due to disruption of
e.amination, and
)c+ 7ho too, the ne.t foowin( e.amination of that course in the papers missed by him1her
at the re(uar e.aminationF
&he mar,s obtained by him1her at the e.amination wi be considered as the basis for the
University ran,in(, schoarships and other distinctions*
8n order to (et the benefit of this provision, the student shoud caim that he 1she is ei(ibe for this
benefit and (et a decision in writin( after provin( his ei(ibiity therefor*
3% Re,.nd and -a4'en( o, E*a'ina(ion Fees
1* A candidate, who fais to pass or who is unabe to present himsef1hersef for any e.amination on
any account, sha not, e.cept in the foowin( cases be entited to a refund of his1her
e.amination fee or ad=ustment of the fee to the ne.t ensuin( e.amination*
#* &he e.amination fee paid by a candidate wi be refundabe ony
)a+ when his1her form is re=ected by the University* -r
)b+ when the fee has been submitted but not the form*
)c+ if the Academic Counci permits refund for compassionate reasons*
!* 0.amination fee of a candidate after deductin( As* 1$1% may be credited for the ne.t ensuin(
e.amination in the case of candidates who fai to appear at any e.amination on account of
sic,ness, provided that an appication supported by a @edica Certificate is made for the
purpose within a month of the date of commencement of the e.amination and provided that
the form, the candidate submits for the ne.t ensuin( e.amination, is compete in a respects
and is accepted*
4* An e.amination fee once credited to the ne.t ensuin( e.amination sha not be refunded*
5* 0.cept as provided in these -rdinances, a candidate when admitted to one or more subse2uent
e.amination)s+ sha, before admission, pay the prescribed fees for such e.amination on each
occasion when he1she is so admitted*

1* -n receipt of the fee prescribed for the e.aminations, the Controer of 0.aminations sha
e.amine the appication which, if found to be in order, sha be re(istered in the Ae(ister of
candidates for such e.amination* &he Controer of 0.aminations sha issue Admit Card to
the candidate entitin( him1her to sit for the said e.amination*
#* &he Controer of 0.aminations may, if satisfied that an e.amination Admit Card has been
ost or destroyed, (rant a dupicate Admit Card on payment of a further fee of As* 11%
!* A candidate may not be admitted into the e.amination room uness he1she produces his1her
Admit Card to the officer conductin( the e.amination or satisfies such officer that it wi be

has put in the re2uired percenta(e of attendance, may be promoted, if otherwise 2uaified, to
the 5art%88 cass of the concerned course of study provided B
)a+ he1she has passed the 5art%8 0.amination comprisin( the concerned course of study4

fore(oin( -rdinances for admission to the University and who is a member of some other
8ndian University, sha not be admitted to the University or any constituent coe(e1facuty
thereof without the production of B
)i+ a eavin( or transfer certificate si(ned by the 5rincipa of the Coe(e ast attended, and
certifyin( the satisfactory conduct of the student mentionin( the hi(hest e.amination
