Abstract

This should contain a brief summary of the project. It is composed of a single paragraph of at most 300
words and should include the overview of the problem, the project design, and the results of the project

Chapter 1 INTRODUCTION

1.1 Background of the Problem
This should contain a discussion on the general problem to be addressed by the project work.

1.2 Current State of the Technology
This should include the state of the current technology and the different solutions proposed so far (based on a
literature survey). It contains discussion on the specific problems faced by or that still in a specific technology or
field (e.g., limitations of existing systems, software, or algorithms). The discussion should include only enough
detail to show the rationale behind and the problems in each leading to the specific need for the proposed
system.

1.3 Statement of the problem
This should introduce the general problem that the proposed system addresses, and the need to find a solution
to the problem. It states the rationale and significance of finding a solution to the problem.

1.3.1. Major Statement
This should contain a single paragraph describing the major problem of the project.
1.3.2. Minor Statements
This should contain a list of the specific problems that the proponents expect to identify.

1.4 Objectives
This should be taken from the corresponding sections of the approved project proposal. The scope and
limitations may be further elaborate but nothing must be changed, added, nor removed without the written
approval of the Project Coordinator or Adviser.

1.4.1. General Objective
This should contain a single paragraph describing the general objective of the project.

1.4.2. Specific Objectives
This should contain a list of the specific work that the proponents expect to address to arrive
at the accomplishment of the general objective.

1.5 Scope and Delimitations
This should contain the basic assumptions within which the project should work the solution to the
problem. Consequently, this should also contain the extent of the prototype to be developed and the
means by which the proposed system is to be evaluated on its capability of solving the problem.

The limitations are those conditions beyond the control of the proponents that may place restrictions on
the conclusions of the study and their application to other situations.
