WHAT IS A
PORT?
Port is an area within which ships are loaded with and/or
discharged of cargo and includes the usual place where
ships wait for their turn or are ordered or obliged to wait for
their turn no matter the distance from that area

What is a Port?
A Port is ..

transfer of cargo and
passenger to and from one
medium to another medium
occurs.
Seaports
are the areas where there
are facilities for berthing or
anchoring ships and where
there is the equipment for
the transfer of goods and
passengers from ship to
shore or vice versa
