The marriage of the Lamb

I believe the wedding, the spiritual union with God and

men through His son, Jesus, has been achieved. Heaven
and earth are united in His son. The Sabbath day,
Sunday, is a wedding celebration where the redeemed,
celebrate eternal life together in the presence of God.
Sabbath fellowship is where the Spirit of hrist Jesus
meets His !ride. "resent there is a great cloud of
witnesses, visible and invisible all participating in the
divine nature of God, #lled with the new wine of His
"resence.
The !ride, the church, celebrated $nowing she was
chosen before the foundation of the world to adorn
heaven and earth with the $nowledge of the glory of the
Lord.
The glory of the Lord can only glow brighter and stronger
as the ages pass as we receive the fullness of Him who #ll
all in all. %e celebrate the fact that God has allowed us to
participate with Him as we bring heaven down to earth
and the earth becomes holy ground as the saints are
renewed.
&nd Jesus answered and spo$e to them again by parables
and said' (The $ingdom of heaven is li$e a certain $ing
who arranged a marriage for his son, and sent out his
servants to call those who were invited to the wedding)
and they were not willing to come. &gain, he sent out
other servants, saying, *Tell those who are invited, (See, I
have prepared my dinner) my o+en and fatted cattle are
$illed, and all things are ready. ome to the wedding.(
,!ut they made light of it and went their ways, one to his
own farm, and another to his business. &nd the rest
sei-ed his servants, treated them spitefully, and $illed
them. !ut when .ing /ebuchadne--ar heard about it, he
was furious. &nd he sent out his armies, destroyed those
murderers, and burned up their city. Then he said to his
servants, *The wedding is ready, but those who were
invited were not worthy. Therefore go into the highways,
and as many as you #nd, invite to the wedding.* So those
servants went out into the highways and gathered
together all whom they found, both bad and good. &nd

The .ing is God the 5ather, the groom is God the son. The
!ride are those whom the 5ather has given to the son.
The servants are apostles and prophets calling, inviting
the Gentiles. The invited guests were Jewish nation who
re6ected the Son and His wedding. The destructive army
was the 7oman army in &8 94.
8aniel was a Jewish e+ile living in !abylon. &fter the court
wise men failed, 8aniel correctly interpreted .ing
/ebuchadne--ar:s dream which revealed that at some
future time all the visible $ingdoms of the world would
ultimately be destroyed by a coming invisible $ingdom
which would itself be eternal.

heaven will set up a $ingdom which shall never be
destroyed) and the $ingdom shall not be left to other
people) it shall brea$ in pieces and consume all these
$ingdoms, and it shall stand forever. In as much as you

The /ew Testament boo$ of =phesians identi#es He who
8aniel was referring to. It reads having been built on the
foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus hrist
Himself being the chief cornerstone, in whom the whole
building, being #tted together, grows into a holy temple
in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for
a dwelling place of God in the Spirit. =phesians 1'1431>
Some hristian philosophers claim the wedding of the
Lamb is yet to come even at this late date 1444 years
post avalry. an this be accurate when the !ible
emphasi-es the rapid approach of the end of days and
the establishment of the .ingdom of God.

The last chapter of 7evelation ma$es the point si+ times
that the .ingdom of God would soon be establishedA
The boo$ of 8aniel was sealed and closed for @44 years.
In contrast the boo$ of 7evelation has remained open for
1,444 years. 8oes it ma$e sense that prophesy
mentioned in revelation which were to shortly come to
pass would still remain unful#lled after 1,444 yearsB
7ev 2C' 93C DLet us be glad and re6oice and give Him
glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His
wife has made herself ready.( &nd to her it was granted to
be arrayed in #ne linen, clean and bright, for the #ne
linen is the righteous acts of the saints. Then he said to
me, (%rite' *!lessed are those who are called to the
marriage supper of the LambA* D&nd he said to me, (These
are the true sayings of God.(
7ev 11'29 &nd the Spirit and the bride say, (omeA( &nd
let him who hears say, (omeA( &nd let him who thirsts
come. %hoever desires let him ta$e the water of life
freely.
The Spirit is the !ridegroom identi#ed by John the !aptist,
the !ride is the church. Rev 22:1 &nd he showed me a
pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding
from the throne of God and of the Lamb.
The river of life, the "resence of God, Eows down from
heaven, from the 5ather and Son into the !ride, the
church on earth.
Gen 2:24 Therefore a man shall leave his father and
mother and be 6oined to his wife, and they shall become
one Eesh. Gen 2:23 &nd &dam said' (This is now bone of
my bones and Eesh of my Eesh) she shall be called
%oman, because she was ta$en out of 0an.( &dam and
=ve ful#lled Gods) mandate to be fruitful and multiply and
they produced children after their own seed, their sinful
nature.
John 3:6-8 That which is born of the Eesh is Eesh, and
that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
hildren born of the Eesh are Eesh, children born3again of

The !ride is the church. Rev 21:2 Then I, John, saw the

from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

The hristian God is holy. =verything He does is good
because He does it. He could not, would not set a poor
e+ample by having children out3of3wedloc$.
John 1:12 !ut as many as received Him, to them He
gave the right to become children of God, to those who
believe in His name' John >'>@ He who believes in the
Son has everlasting life) and he who does not believe the
Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on
him.(
& man does not give bastard children his name nor let
them into his presence nor ma$e an inheritance for them.
!ut God has done all these things for us and more. 5or
those of us who are born3again we are adopted children
standing by grace in the light of God*s presence. If the
wedding had not already ta$en place we would be
bastard:s sons hidden away with shame. Instead we are
sons of light brought into the throne room of God. 5or
hrist who is holy brought a higher ethical system than
that which the Eesh could attain, no we attain it through
the Spirit of hrist

Heavenly 5ather. %e are His inheritance. &nd he
promised not to lose one of us, rather to ac$nowledge us
in His presence. %e are accepted in the beloved

the day. %e are not of the night nor of dar$ness.
The hristian church is the fruit, the children of a
marriage consummated 1,444 years ago. John 2;' Lord,
how is it that Iou will manifest Iourself to us, and not to
the worldB( Jesus answered and said to him, (If anyone
loves 0e, he will $eep 0y word) and 0y 5ather will love
him, and %e will come to him and ma$e Fur home with
him.

The !ride obeys the groom and the groom gives His !ride
the desires of her heart. =ach one serving the other,
each meeting the other:s needs. =ach e+pressing their

God*s purpose from before the beginning, from before the
foundation of the world'.The intimate union of God and
redeemed humanity, Kthe churchL, in hrist. The
Godhead 6oined together in an intimate union, a
marriage, the Spirit manifest in the Eesh. Heaven and
earth united in the "resence of hrist Jesus.
&s we mature we pass from being born3again children to
being the !ride. The !ride responds to the wishes of her
husband and honors Him and He in turn gives the !ride
the desires of her heart. He loves her. Love e+pressed in
service and obedience. %illingly not forced or coerced. I
am my beloved and my beloved is mine. God in man is
the consummation of their relationship each see$ing the
others highest good. The born again child of God,
growing into the willing !ride serving and honoring and
being served at the same time.
The church is the !ride, the church is the %ord made
Eesh, and the church is the "resence of God on earth.
The church is the center of God*s eternal $ingdom which
will never go away.
God alone $nows the end from the beginning and it is
toward the end of the !ible in 2 "eter 2'2C314 and
7evelation 2>'M where we discover the counsel of the
Godhead. God told us there was a lamb slain before the
foundation of the world. That fact raises important
?uestions. !efore the beginning, before creation the
Godhead had a plan.

prophets and righteous men desired to see what you see,
and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not

&olossians 1:26-2) the mystery which has been hidden
from ages and from generations, but now has been
revealed to His saints. To them God willed to ma$e

glory.

God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. 5or the
Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.
The wedding occurred sometime nearly 1,444 years ago.
The !ible uses the symbolism of marriage in both Fld and
/ew Testaments. hildren are the fruit of marriage. Since
God is holy and everything He does is proper we could
not be legitimate, ac$nowledged children bearing His
substance and li$eness, bearing His eternal name, unless
the Son and the !ride were 6oined together. 0oreover, the
5ather gave the !ride to the Son. Sunday fellowship is a
celebration of life, eternal life from heaven Eowing to
earth to the !ride revealing the glory of God through the
Son with the presence of the Holy Spirit.
