8:00 - 3:30 for all New Faculty and Staff
Welcome new faculty and staff - Optional workday for returning faculty.
New faculty and staff will convene in the Multi-Purpose Room at 8 a.m. for continental breakfast and a day
of orientation and community building. Please dress in professional casual attire. You might want to bring
a light sweater and a water bottle.
Returning faculty and staff on campus are invited to lunch with our new colleagues. Please let us know by
Thursday, July 31, if you plan to have lunch with us so we may prepare enough food for everyone.
Tuesday, August 5 Wednesday, August 13
8:00 - 3:30 for all Faculty and Staff
Pre-planning will be a time to reconnect with friends and colleagues as well as build new relationships. The
challenge for all of us is to nd balance between task accomplishment and relationship building. The
Academic Leadership Team (ALT) has worked to design a schedule to accommodate both. Enjoy being
together again. Welcome back!

Notes:
Learning specialists and Specials teachers should determine who will attend
each session with the understanding that each teacher will attend multiple
sessions to both share and gain information about students.
5th/6th Math and Science teachers attend the appropriate grade levels.
Good questions also
force students to
articulate their thinking so
that it is understandable
to another human; this
articulation, in and of
itself, is often a catalyst to
learning.
