This meeting is being held in conformity to the Open Public Meetings Act N.J.S.A. 10:4-6 et. seq.
Proper public notice of the meeting was published in the local papers on DATE and DATE.

If any Board member or member of the public in attendance believes that the meeting is in
violation of the Open Public Meetings Act, the Hoboken Board of Education requests that they
make a statement at this time.
The Board wishes to make those in attendance aware that this meeting is being recorded on video
and will be broadcast by the Board at a later date on CATV Channel 77 and Fios Channel 46.

The Hoboken Board of Education is committed to preserving the decorum of the public process
and is mindful that we live in the electronic age of computers, cell phones and other electronic
communications devices. Nevertheless, we respectfully request that all meeting participants kindly

Recommended Action Pursuant to N.J.A.C. 6A:23-2.11(c)3, the Board Secretary does certify that no line item account has encumbrances
and expenditures, which in total exceed the line item appropriation in violation of N.J.A.C. 6A:23-2.11(a). Pursuant
to N.J.A.C. 6A:23-2.11(c)4, the Hoboken Board of Education has reviewed for the minutes of this meeting the Board
Secretary and Cash Flow monthly financial reports for June 2014 are in agreement and that no major account or
fund has been over-expended in violation of N.J.A.C. 6A:23-2.11(b).

period beginning July 1, 2014 and ending June 30, 2015. The Board publicly advertised for Requests for Proposals
on May 30, 2014 in the Star Ledger and responses were to be received by the District by June 19, 2014. The District
posted this notice on its website throughout this period, under Notice of RFP - School District Special Services.
Proposals were received from nineteen (19) respondents.
Subject 10.09 Approval of Joint Transportation Agreement(s)

Subject 10.10 Award of Contract for Executive Search Services
Recommended Action RESOLVED, that the Hoboken Board of Education approves a contract for the professional services of R-Pat
Solutions, Roselle Park, New Jersey as the firm to provide Executive Search Services for the Hoboken School
District. This professional service contract was procured through a fair and open process pursuant to P.L. 2005,
c.271, for the period beginning August 20, 2014 and ending June 30, 2015, or until a permanent superintendent is
hired, and is awarded to R-Pat Solutions, Roselle Park, New Jersey at the fee of $8,900.00 (plus pre-approved
expenses) as set forth in the proposal. The Board publicly advertised for Requests for Proposals on June 30, 2014 in
the Bergen Record and July 2, 2014 in the Star Ledger; responses were to be received by the District by July 8,
2014. The District posted this notice on its website throughout this period, under EXECUTIVE SEARCH SERVICES
(Superintendent Search). Proposals were received from four (4) respondents.
Subject 10.11 Award of Contract for Parent Involvement Professional Services
Recommended Action RESOLVED, that the Hoboken Board of Education approves a contract for the professional services of Cohen Arts &
Education, Jersey City, New Jersey as the firm to provide Parent Involvement Training and Workshop Services for
the Hoboken School District. This professional service contract was procured through a fair and open process
pursuant to P.L. 2005, c.271, for the period beginning September 1, 2014 and ending June 30, 2015 and is awarded
to Cohen Arts & Education, Jersey City, New Jersey at a fee not to exceed $21,000.00 as set forth in the proposal.
The Board publicly advertised for Requests for Proposals on May 28, 2014 in the Star Ledger; responses were to be
received by the District by June 10, 2014. The District posted this notice on its website throughout this period,
under Professional Services - Parent Involvement Training and Workshop Program. Proposals were received from
one (1) respondent.
