LIMIT SWITCH


Normally closed (N/C) switches are connected:
OPEN LIMIT to PLG 1 Term 13 (LIM O)
CLOSED LIMIT to PLG 1 Term 14 (LIM C)
COMMON to PLG 1 Term 8 (C)




MOTOR:

The motor winding is connected:
Closing to PLG 3 Term 6 (CL - MOTOR) CLOSING.
Opening to PLG 3 Term 4 (OP - MOTOR) OPENING
Common to PLG 3 Term 5 (C-MOTOR) COMMON

PEDESTRIAN
OPENING
Pedestrian key switch or intercom button with normally
open contacts (N/O) is connected to PLG 1 Term 10 (PD)
& Term 8 (C).
This facility opens the gate partially for pedestrians.


INFRA RED
BEAM
Beams normally closed contacts (N/C) are connected to
PLG 1 Term 11 (BM) & Term 8 (C).
This prevents the gate closing on an object in its path.
When closing, breaking the beam will make the gate stop
and open.
Please Note:
If no Beams are installed make sure there is a wire link
between Term 11 (BM) & Term 8 (C) PLH 1

An LED can be fitted inside the house for status
display.

Connect a 12V DC relay coil across PLG 2 Term 22 (R)
& PLG 1 Term 8 (C) .
A light can be switched in series with the relay normally
open contacts (N/O). The relay contact rating must match
the light power chosen.
The courtesy light will switch on automatically, timed
from when the gate is opened and for a period after the
gate is closed.


EXTERNAL

BUZZER
A 12V DC Buzzer can be connected across:
Buzzer (-) to PLG 1 Term 12 (Z) & Buzzer (+) to Term
8 (C).
The buzzer will sound briefly before the gate begins to
move.
Gate closed : buzzer off
Gate moving : buzzer beeps on & off
Gate fully open : buzzer off

AUTOCLOSE &
RUN TIME
SET (DIP) SWITCH 1 ON
Press & release (PROG BUTTON)- Gate will close onto close
limit or if already on close limit, will then run open to open
limit and stop and beep for Auto-close time. Buzzer beeps per
second.
At Auto-close time, press & release (PROG BUT) Buzzer
stops then gate runs closed and stops onto closed limit, the
buzzer beeps twice.
Switch (Dip) 1 OFF


PEDESTRIAN SET (DIP) SWITCH 2 ON
Press & release (PROG-BUTTON) Gate will OPEN or if the
gate is not on CLOSED LIMIT, it will close & stop on
CLOSED LIMIT then OPEN.
Press & release (PROG-BUT) at required opening gate will
stop and beep per second for Auto-close time.
When auto-close time reached, press & release (PROG-BUT)
gate will close onto closed limit, buzzer will beep twice.
SWITCH (DIP) 2 OFF.


LIGHT ON TIME SET (DIP) SWITCH 3 ON
Press & release (PROG-BUT) Buzzer beeps per second.
When required time is reached, press & release (PROG-BUT):
buzzer will stop, then beep twice.
SWITCH (DIP) 3 OFF.

AUTO BREAK
MODE
(ERGO)
SET (DIP) SWITCH 6 ON
This mode will make the motor break / stop instantly the
moment the closed limit has been activated. To be used with the
ERGO motor if the motor gearbox is jamming.

6 ON BREAK ON (OPEN & CLOSE LIMIT)

1. AUTOCLOSE (DIP 1 ON)
This is the time the gate will stay open before auto-closing.
NB! USE ONLY WITH INFRA-RED SAFETY BEAMS.

2. LOOP/CONDOMINIUM/FREE EXIT (DIP 2 ON)
- This mode is used for multiple user dwellings and its function is to prevent
another user operating the gate while one user is in the process of driving
through the gate.
- The gate can only be triggered to open by remote, button or free exit loop and
not to stop or close.

3. PIRAC MODE BEAM ACTIVATION (DIP 3 ON)
- This mode works with an INFRA RED BEAM.
- While the gate is opening and a vehicle drives through, it breaks the beam.
The beam is restored as the vehicle has passed, causing the gate to imediately
stop and close. This bypasses the open limit and auto-close time.

4. SECURITY MODE BUTTON / REMOTE ACTIVATION (DIP 4
ON)
- This mode works with activation of the button input (BT), connected to a
button or remote control receiver.
- When the remote is activated while the gate is opening, the gate will stop and
close.
- This does not work in condominium mode i.e dipswitch 2 OFF.

5. FLASH MODE (DIP 5 ON)
- This mode causes the light / relay to flash three times before the gate closes.
- The light / relay will work otherwise as per programmed time.

6. BREAK MODE (DIP 6 ON)
- This mode causes the gate motor to break quickly while opening or closing on
its limit and prevents jamming at the gate stoppers.



NB!
Auto-close should only be used with an infra-red beam for safety so the
gate does not auto-close onto an object unsupervised.
