www.kingsrugby.org.uk THE HOME OF KCS OLD BOYS Why play at Kings Rugby? Kings Rugby promotes FUN and FRIENDSHIP throughout the club. We follow the RFUs core values of Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship. Our ground and clubhouse are maintained to the highest quality and offer a safe and secure environment for all players. We have ample car parking facilities. Our senior rugby squad has over 30 boys who have played for the club since mini and junior rugby. They come from a variety of backgrounds and we have produced many fne rugby players. In the 1XV we have: Louis Mather (Oxford Blue 2010 & 11) and his brother Max Mather (Cambridge Blue 2012 & 13), Harry Kersley (Epsom College and now studying at the Royal College of Music in London and a member of the National Winning Surrey U20 squad), Tom Dugarin and Guy Tyler (Captains at KCS Wimbledon in 2007 and 2008 respectively) and Gareth Stoppani who played for New York in the World Club 7s at Twickenham in 2013 and along with Edward Forshaw (Kings U18s) played as a guest for Harlequins when they won the London 7s. Harry says Last season at the club was an exciting year; great fun, great atmosphere and a great standard of rugby! We have also some boys who have gone on to greater things, Cameron Jeffery(Epsom College) was in the squad for Scotland at U16 and U20 levels and George Taylor who played KCS 1XV,Whitgift 1XV, Harlequins Academy and England U16s. George says The defnition of real rugby, to me, is playing with your mates, playing with a smile on your face whether you win or lose and making friends for life. I have achieved all three of those things whilst playing at Kings over the years and winning the U18 Surrey League was the ideal way to fnish junior rugby. I have played at Kings from the age of 5 and hope to continue to do so well into my adulthood. The idea of returning from university and coming together with friends from afar for a game is something that everyone who is playing, has played or indeed will play for the club should experience! And we must not forget our British Lion. Alex Corbisiero started his rugby career at Kings in 1995 at the age of 5. We all know how well he has done...... How to contact us! Scrums, lineouts and kicking are all introduced by U12s. Kings Minis run A and B squads from U9-U12 that welcome new players of every standard. Tag Rugby U6 to U8 TAG RUGBY is a safe, fun and exciting form of non- contact rugby that can be enjoyed by boys and girls of all abilities. There are no scrums, lineouts or tackling so the game can be played and enjoyed by both beginners and experienced players alike. Children can start aged 4 - 6 in our U6 group and play tag till U8.
