Tank Field Firing Management System “DHANUSH” - Indian Armoured Corps


Project Manager: September 2005 – September 2009

• Single handedly managed the End to End Project Lifecycle for project ‘Dhanush’ – Indian
Armoured Corps Tank Management System (IT Transformational Project) over the past
04 years with external support in software development from the IT Sector. This included
Gap Analysis and Conceptualization, Planning, Implementation, Post Go – Live
Enhancements and Application Support.
• Delivery of Inventory Management System for Real Time Update and Information,
Planning and optimizing the existing resources, Demand Analysis and Availability
Control.
• ‘Dhanush’ optimizes Knowledge Management to store Combat Data, collate it and
generate it to facilitate users to make Real Time Decisions thus forming a Decision
Support System which is both Predictive and Preventive.
• Governance, Risk and Compliance – this includes Internet Security and Authorization
based access at various levels of management.
• Performance and Volumetric Testing and incorporating Upgrades and Patches – to
ensure quick system turnaround on high volumes of data.
• Currently Phase – I supports Combat Equipment worth Rs 10800 million and is
operational since 2006 in real time conditions. The Project went live with Zero Defect.

User Comparison Trials and Evaluation – ‘DRDO India Vs Tadiran Israel’


Project Manager: January 2007 - March 2007 & November 2008 – January 2009

• Conducted comparative trials from combat user point of view between “Defense
Research and Development Organization”, India developed equipment against
“TADIRAN”, Israel for Induction on approval across the Indian Armed Forces.

• Some of the key tasks carried out were Requirement Gathering, conducting AS IS TO
BE Study based on Comparative Analysis, carry out Extensive User testing based on a
pre developed User Acceptance Criteria and successful rollout of project to The Armed
Forces.
