Probability & Statistics Syllabus

Course Description
This course is a broad introduction to the concepts of probability and statistics. Topics will
include probability; collection, display, and analysis of data; permutations and combinations; binomial,
normal and t-distribution.

Maintaining a notebook will help improve your
grades and a notebook quiz will be given at the
end of each unit. Notebook sections should include
notes/classwork, homework, and lastly, graded
work.

General Information
Tests are given at the end of each chapter, and major quizzes are given about every 3 sections.
In order to take a test on the assigned day students have to have completed all of the lesson
quizzes and major quizzes. If a student has a test score that is below 70, then a mandatory

block session will be assigned a remediation packet and the student will retake the test. My
website contains lesson notes and practice worksheets completed.

Make-Up Work
I will have a folder for each class with make-up work and it is the students responsibility to
inquire about assignments missed.
