The Great Holy Demon Spirit’s Test ---Episode 5

With Tetsusaiga's new power, Toto-sai sends InuYasha to a demon hermit named
Yorei-Taisei to train so he can use it without it backfiring. When InuYasha reaches
the village, he undergoes a test by the hermit designed to help InuYasha discover the
existence of whirlpools of demonic energy that InuYasha can cut to defeat his
enemies. Meanwhile, Moryomaru devours two demon twins and obtains their
abilities.

The End Of Moryomaru --Episode 6

Naraku absorbs a demonic tree that grants him the ability to penetrate any demonic
barriers. What is his use for that? Inuyasha, and friends attempt a confrontation with
Naraku at his attempt to absorb the ability of the demonic tree. However, Naraku flees
with ease, without a fight. Kikyo and Kohaku continues to pursue the rest of the
nearly completed Shikon Jewel, and meets Koga for the first time. Inuyasha too
continues to go after Naraku. As Inuyasha's gang arrives at mountain, Moryomaru
meets Naraku and prepares to attack him. Though Koga and InuYasha work together
to try to stop him, Naraku tricks Moryomaru into absorbing him, allowing him to
penetrate Moryomaru's tough defenses, with the aid of his new found powers. And he
absorbs Moryomaru from the inside out, and reclaiming the Infant as his visible heart.
Kikyo wants to use Kohaku's shard to attack Naraku. Knowing this, Naraku attempts
to attack Kohaku and kill him. To protect him, Miroku attacks Naraku with his Wind
Tunnel instead. Naraku attempts to escape from the Wind tunnel’s suction, but fails
and releases the poisonous insect and Miasma. Miroku refuses to close the Wind
Tunnel despite his friends pleas, as the poison is going to kill him. The Miasma
begins poisoning him, causing blood to stream from his eyes and mouth. Miroku is in
grave pain, and in his last attempts he was able to suck in the Fuyoheki before
InuYasha finally stops him from using his Wind Tunnel. As Nraku leaves, he tells
InuYasha that Miroku had almost gotten his heart, which he will regret not being able
to do so in the end. Miroku is left near death, and Kikyo states that her purification
cannot completely heal him.

Mausoleum Of Mount Azusa --Episode 7

Kikyo was able to partially heal Miroku, after being poisoned badly in the last
episode. She also warns him that he will die if he overuses his wind tunnel, as the
poison will be spread to his entire body. After taking back his human heart, Naraku
learns of Kikyo's plan to purify him by having him absorb Kohaku's Shikon jewel
shard. So, Naraku uses his webs to tangle up Inuyasha, Kikyo, and Kagome in an
emotions battle. The evil and darkness makes the wound Kikyo sustained from
healing Miroku grow greater. The three heroes attempts to free themselves from the
web. They were able to be freed for the time being. But the bow of Kikyo has been
broken and cannot be repaired, during the process. Kikyo tells Kagome that, in order
for her to save Kikyo, she will need a priestess bow and the only one left is at Mount
Azusa. Kagome then travels to Mount Azusa to try to obtain the holy bow that can
save Kikyo. However, there is a Guardian on Mount Azusa, who will test if Kagome
truly wants to Kikto. The Spirit Guardian there tests Kagome by showing her, her true
fears of losing Inuyasha to Kikyo. Also, that she is really jealous of Kikyo. Duringthe
test, Kagome falls off an imaginary cliff created by the Guardian. Kikyo appears and
angers Kagome by telling her what she thinks of her. Kagome says she's jealous, then
learns it was just an image of Kikyo created from her own insecurities, and taken into
form, thanks to the Guardian. After a gruling process of facing her emotions, Kagome
finally passes the test, and truly wants to save Kikyo now. She then obtains the bow.
