1. What is counseling Process?
Counseling is a process of selecting your college of choice for doing your MBA or
MCA based on your merit rank out of the colleges given in the seat matrix.

2. Where would the counseling session be held for MBA/MCA this year?
Counseling would be held only at Bangalore and Belgaum simultaneously.

3. What should I bring for my document verification and counseling?
You are supposed to bring in (ORIGINALS)
Original Hall Ticket,
Caste Certificate (like SC, ST, OBC etc) in case you are claiming any seats
under reservation.
Certificates to claim seat under special category
Two Demand Drafts- one for Rs. 20,500 and another for Rs, 30,000 in favour
of Executive Director, Karnataka Examination Authority payable at
Bangalore.

4. What are the fees?
Rs 20,500 (one draft) for students who seek admission in Post Graduate
Departments of Universities and Government colleges. This amount is to be
paid at the time of counseling. Remaining amount will have to be paid at the
respective institution based on their fees structure.
Rs 50,500 (in two drafts of Rs 30,000 and Rs 20,500) in case of all other
colleges at the time of counseling.

5. Can I bring cash for the counseling?
Yes, the KEA and the Consortium for PGCET-2014 have made arrangements with the
Syndicate Bank to have their counters at both Bangalore and Belgaum to help you
procure your DDs. However if you are sure, you want a seat, it is better if you get
both the DDs in advance.

6. How do I know what date I have to apply for counseling?
You have to visit the website to know your ranks. After having known your ranks,
you will also get to see the date of your counseling based on your rank. You are
required to appear on the day of counseling either at Bangalore or at Belgaum and
then go through the process.
In other words, visiting the website and following the instructions is very
important. Also, make use of help line and email id.



7. Where can I appear for counseling?
There are two counseling Centers. One in Belgaum and another in
Bangalore.


The Belgaum Centre shall cater to the candidates who have appeared at the
following Exam Centers (Belgaum, Bijapur, Gulbarga, Bellary, Dharwad and
Davangere). The Belgaum counseling will happen at, S.G Balekundri Institute
of Technology, Shivabasava Nager,Belgaum-590010.

The Bangalore Centre shall cater to the candidates who have appeared at
the following Exam center (Bangalore, Mysore, Mangalore, Shimoga and
Tumkur). The Bangalore Counseling will happen at Karnataka Examination
Authority, Sampige Road, 18th Cross, Malleshwaram, Bangalore - 560012.

8. What exactly is the process for Counseling and beyond?
Follow the following process.
Initially after reporting at the Counseling center, please register yourself.
Then, you will be asked to go to the document verification counter where all
your originals would be checked. You will be given a slip for having completed
your document verification.
Then, you will be allowed to see the list of colleges according to the Seat
Matrix. The LCD display will show only available seats. You have a few
minutes to choose the college of your choice.
Next, you will go to the counseling centre and will be allotted a seat based on
your choice.
Collect your admit card after depositing your DDs (Rs. 20,500 or Rs. 50,500-
as the case may be).
Visit the college within the due date and handover necessary documents to
them for your admission. If necessary, pay the remaining fees. Delay in
reporting to the college within due date may cause forfeiture of your seat.
Follow the instructions of the college and start attending the classes.

In all the above process, follow the official communication. Do not fall into
unauthorized helpers. Kindly make use of the help desk and official
communication

9. What is Casual Round Counseling?
In case you are not happy with the choice of the college, you can immediately report
to PGCET for Casual Round Counseling. If there are any vacant seats, then you would
be allotted. However, you are strongly recommended to choose your college in the
beginning itself. Otherwise, if you report for Casual Round of Counseling and if you
dont get your set, you will lose seat in the original college also.

10. When are the classes going to start?
You will know this when you visit the college. They may start on or before 10
th

August, 2014.
