What is Truth?
There may not be anyone who does not know the term TRUTH. In every language
known to world, it means the same; it is the conformity of reality. Truth can be only
one, nothing more and nothing less. If you look at the Bible, the meaning goes much
beyond what is fact. This has been of much interest to me. What made me to think
about it is the following verse from the Bible.
Psalms 91:4 Gods truth is a shield and a buckler.
Shield is to protect the warrior from the opponents blows and cuts with their
weapon. Buckler is the Protective covering made of metal used in early centuries
combat.
How Gods truth can be the shield and buckler? The literal meaning some how does
not fit in to this usage.
Then I remembered, Jesus said: ---- John 14:6 Jesus said, I am the truth
How, Jesus is the TRUTH?
In the following verses it says, there was WORD and the word was God and
transformed or incarnated in to Jesus.
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word
was God.
John 1:14 The Word became flesh, and dwelt among us (and we beheld his glory,
glory as of the only begotten from the Father), full of grace and truth.
Disciple John testified, the WORD of GOD has become Jesus.
Jesus confirms, He is the TRUTH
It is just like a small mathematical presentation:-a=b=c, so, a=c
WORD=JESUS=TRUTH so WORD=TRUTH
Which word are we talking about?
The WORD of GOD and nothing else. The WORD of GOD is the ONLY
TRUTH!!
Now let us go back to what the Psalmist said: ---Psalms 91:4 Gods truth is a shield and a buckler
How can the WORD of GOD which is THE TRUTH going to protect us?
Word of God, Sharper than any two edged sword
Hebrew 4: 12
The word of God is living and active, sharper than any two edged sword,
piercing until it divides the soul from the spirit, joints from the marrow, it is
able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

Armor of God
Ephesians 6: 14 -17 Fasten the belt of TRUTH around your waist And
having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with
the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the SHIELD
of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the
wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, And the sword of the Spirit,
which is the word of God.
The Bible says, the WORD of GOD is sharper than the two edged
sword: This sword is going to protect you.
Philosopher = is a wise man who seeks the root cause of reasons:which is the truth. He seeks the temporal truth (Characteristics devoted to the
temporal world as opposed to the spiritual world. Biblical TRUTH is altogether
different. These are two worlds apart. When God said Let there be ---- it comes
from the vacuum that much powerful is Gods word. I hope this explanation is
satisfactory to you.
The Bible itself explains the meaning of TRUTH very well.
After all who am I; a fragile human being, to interpret the Bible.
Accepting and believing is your freedom.
God has given you that freedom in the beginning.
