Language Focus : Vocabulary (poster, title, message, decorations)
Behavioral Objectives : By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to:
1) write least 3 out of 5 words correctly by fill in the blanks
with the features of a poster.
2) perform the jazz chant taught while displaying the poster
created based on it.
Previous knowledge : Pupils have seen posters before.
Instructional Material: word cards, poster, glue tack, blank A4 papers, jazz chant.

A poster to capture the

1. Teacher puts up a poster and asks pupils whether they
have seen this before and what it is called. .
2. Teacher asks what they think about the poster, whether
they feel that it is beautiful, nice-looking and so on.

1. Teacher introduces a jazz chant from the text book and
teaches the students how to perform it.
2. Teacher then goes back to the poster and calls out a few
pupils randomly and gives them a word card each.
3. Teacher asks pupils whether they can read and
understand the words given to them.
4. Teacher asks pupils to paste the word card at the place
they think is correct.
5. Teacher checks the answers along with the class and
explains the words to the pupils.

4. Teacher asks pupils to create their own poster
based on what was taught.
5. Teacher facilitates when needed.

any mistakes.
4. Teacher asks all pupils to stand up and hold up their
poster.
5. Teacher leads the class to perform a jazz chant
again.
