National Council of Priests: The previous Council was held in Warrnambool 2 years
ago. Fr John will be a representative at this years Conference in Maroochydore.

Emmanuel College: Some Year 11 students this week will be attending the Regional
Mercy Sisters of Justice Conference in Angelsea. Also Emmanuel College will be
involved in the first Young Vinnies Regional Conference to be held in Ararat. Over 90
students from regional secondary Catholic schools will be involved.

Integrity in the Service of the Church
Parishes have been invited to undertake a familiarisation program with Integrity in
the Service of the Church for their staff, lay ministers and volunteers. This
Wednesday at 7.00pm (Gathering Space). As a follow up: a series of 5 workshops
offered at a later date. You are welcome to attend.

Pastoral Planning throughout the Diocese of Ballarat

We will host a Gathering of Southern Zone parish representatives and interested
parishioners to discuss future directions with regard to our faith communities.

Date: Tuesday, 16th September: 7.00pm to 9.00pm (Gathering Space)

Liturgy Formation Day: 12 noon Sunday, 31st August, Dunworth Centre, St
Marys Church, 23 Dinwoodie St, Hamilton. The session commences with Bishop
Pauls overview followed by lunch then participants have a choice of workshops (see
notice board for more information). Registration essential.

Migrant & Refugee Sunday (7th Sept): A time to celebrate the cultural diversity of
our nation and especially to consider the plight of the many who have fled their
homelands in fear. You are invited to bring memorabilia of the country of your birth
to display over that weekend.

Nativity Exhibition: For the past two years Catholic parishes of Ballarat have hosted
a display of over 200 Nativity cribs in St Patricks Cathedral Hall. This year St
Josephs Parish will be hosting the Exhibition (Gathering Space & Parish Hall) 11th -
14th December. If you have a nativity scene with an interesting story that you would
like to lend to the exhibition please contact the Parish Office.
