LIBRARY:-

A fully computerized library with many thousands of

books, Journals and CDs is the haunt of curious students.
It comprises two spacious reading hall which can
accommodate 300 Students who can study and consult
books. The library subscribes to all prominent
newspapers, national and regional, in addition to twenty
weekly and fortnightly magazines of repute. Graduate
and postgraduate students have open access to
reference books.
LIBRARY CATALOGUE:-
Catalogue is the key to all the books shelved in the
library. It helps to locate the innumerable books kept in
the library. This key to the huge collection of books lying
in the library, Catalogue in librarys terminology, is placed
on the ground floor the catalogue comprises of the cards
imparting information iegarding the author, the title,
subject, format and the place of books on the shelves.



The catalogue has been divided into three parts:
I. Author parts
II. Title part
III. Classified part
At the top left hand corner of each card is written Call
No. which indicates the definite place of the book on a
specific shelf.
But now, the information technology has changed and
all is feed in the computer. We can find through OPAC
System (Open public access catalogue).
Open access:-
Open access provides free access to the world of books.
Users are allowed browsing through shelves without any
hindrance. All the readers have got the freedom to
consult the books and thus they can select their choicest
reading material. To facilitate the readers, the section-
guides and plank-guides have been provided.



Arrangement of Books :-
To ensure the proper use of book, they have been
arranged in a logical order according to the Classification
Scheme. Dewey Decimal classification Scheme is used in
this library. The classified arrangement of the books is in
the following Order :
000, 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900.
Books are placed on the shelves from left to right across,
then down to the next shelf and across left to right and
so on.
