Sociology concentrates on the development of man/woman in a social environment and
the forces that shape person physically, culturally, and mentally. Students examine how
people interact with one another in society and the consequences of this interaction. A
variety of materials are used including current events and personal experiences. Students
participate in class and panel discussions, group work, group surveys, projects, and
demonstrations.
