ORGANISING
Organising prepares the data for use by the other information processes. It is the
second process by which data is structured into a form appropriate for the use of other
information processes such as the format in which data will be represented. This is
sorting process does not require any alteration of data but rather modifies the way it is
structured and presented using a binary code.
Organising is a great tool for a participant to obtain easy access to links and directories
ensuring efficiency of a task given.
IT WAS USED DURING THE FOLLOWING PROJECTS:
- Navigation Page (Profile) (2014-current)
o The organising process proved helpful during the
editing of the navigation page created on Adobe
Flash. The timeline was sorted into categories
such as titles, buttons and background to
ensure where different objects in the workspace
was places, gaining easy access to alter them.
There were also many folders were created in the
Library (Figure 1.1.)in order to organise
different categories and sub-categories different
information fitted in. Some examples were Home
titles, Redirect and Animated Titles. This
organisation led to time-efficient productivity
concerning my profile project. This was also
similarly repeated in the process of creating a
website. Images were also organised into PNG format for a transparent
background in images.
- Captivate project
o Moving different slides into places it is relevant in order for user to
understand the tutorial with ease.
- Gantt Chart
o This is a major organisation tool for participant to follow such a project so
that the goals are reached. Organisation was used when tasks were
allocated and sorted with different dates and time slots in order for project
to have objectives

SOCIAL AND ETHICAL I SSUES ASSOCIATED WITH ORGANISING
Social and ethical issues associated with organising include the current trends in
organising data, such as: the increase in hypermedia as a result of the World Wide Web
and the ability of software to access different types of data means that we should be
more cautious of the ways we organise data. I took that into consideration when I was
organising my data so that it was accurate, valid and reliable in my projects including
the website, my captivate video and also my social and ethical articles. In saying that,
today there is a greater variety of ways to organise resulting from advances in display
technology which means that information is more easily accessible.
