Day 1: Delhi & after a morning orientation, we!ll embark on a full day of wandering around this
sprawling city with visits to religious and historical sights in both 2ld and $ew ,elhi as well as a
stroll through the largest local market and some mighty delicious local Indian food
Day 2 - 5: Varanasi & the holiest city in all of India, this is the time to witness a truly complex and
eye3opening combination of the strange, wonderful, disturbing, awe3inspiring and everything in
between, with walks along the busy riverside, visits to temples dedicated to monkeys, sunrise
boat rides on the #oly 4anges /iver, and witnessing both religious ceremonies and the constant
open3air cremations along the burning ghats...this city will etch itself in your memory forever
Day 6: Agra & time to soak in the wonder of the -aj 5ahal with a full morning dedicated to this
beautiful monument as well as time in the afternoon to catch a "ollywood movie at a local cinema

and it!s a great entrance point into the state of /ajasthan...this city has it all & forts, palaces,
temples, gardens, a massive local market and even a unique outdoor astronomical observatory
dating back to the early *;))s
Day 1# ! 12: Bundi 3 visit this magical, part3#indu, part3<ain, part35uslim community that is home
to an incredible palace and mountaintop fortress that overlook the beautiful bright blue town below
3 most of the homes are painted blue given the town!s noble status & offering the most ideal
location for us to take a mid3tour break, relax and enjoy a more laid3back Indian experience
Day 1$ ! 16: Udaipur & from the massive palaces of maharajas to the narrow lanes that wind
along the lake to the colorful markets to the rooftop terraces to the elephants walking the streets
and to the addictive powers of /ajasthani cuisine, you=ll discover exactly why visitors have a hard
time leaving this town
Day 1 ! 1%: Pushkar & a desert oasis, this holy site situated around a small lake offers a perfect
place to spend our final couple of days...the laid3back, religious atmosphere, with temples all over
town, the camels walking through the streets, the hiking paths through the desert hills, and for
those who might be interested, some of the best shopping >local /ajasthani items? in the country
Day 1": Delhi & after our drive back to ,elhi, we!ll enjoy a farewell dinner and one last night out
together before we part ways the following day

P&ysical (e)el: While the tour itself is not very strenuous, please note that it can involve the
followingE somewhat long days, a good amount of walking, being in the sun in potentially hot
temperatures, long journeys by bus or train >including overnight trips?, early morning wake3ups
and other similarly challenging scenarios.
Acco**odation: 7rices are based on the sharing of rooms and single members of the group will
typically be put together. We will be using budget guesthousesDhotels that offer comfortable, but
simple, facilities. Fometimes rooms might be without air3conditioning and in many cases, two
members of the group might have to share a large bed. While I always do my best to secure as
many rooms with two separate beds as possible, such rooms are not very common in India at all.

-ravel almost always involves unexpected situations so things might need to be re3arranged at
times. #owever, it is important to remember that travel is all about the journey, and so even the
unexpected situations we may face should be treated as part of the overall experience E?
Arri)al.De/arture Details: I do recommend arriving at least two days prior to the start of the tour
so that you!ll be well rested and we can all start the tour together on that first day. If you do arrive
early, I can arrange accommodation for you in ,elhi depending on your budget and I will also be
able to organiHe a private pickup from the airport for a nominal fee. I will typically arrive in ,elhi (3
+ days before the tour begins in order to show those who arrive early some extra highlights.
