a sermon series called Ecclesiastes: The Search for Meaning. In
the evening we welcome Micah Shin to the pulpit.

OFFERING

Last Sundays Benevolent Offering Thank you for your
generous giving. $466.00 was received for the Deacons Fund last
Sunday. Currently this fund is at $4500.18. If you would still
like to contribute to this, please designate your gift Deacons
Fund and place it in the offering plate.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Sunday School - No Sunday School today. Please enjoy an
extended time of fellowship! Sign up today for one of our fall
small groups which begin September 14.

Next Sunday is Servanthood Sunday Each of you should use
whatever gift you have received to serve others, as
faithful stewards of Gods grace in its various
forms. I Peter 4:10. September 7 has been
designated as "Servanthood Sunday to
acknowledge the many brothers and sisters who have shown
themselves faithful stewards through their acts of service to their
Cedar family. Please join us as we give thanks for our volunteers
and recognize themduring the morning worship service.

Kent County Jail Ministry This afternoon Cedar Church will
host our 5th Sunday chapel service at the Kent County Jail from
12:45 PM - 2:15 PM. Please keep this ministry in your prayers.


ANNOUNCEMENTS

Calling all Smiling Faces! The facility deacons want you to help
at Cedar Church with additional new greeter opportunities for the
(a) outside sidewalk and (2) indoor hallways, in addition to our
fine front door greeters. We are excited about the elders call for
renewal, revival and reformation at church and beyond! You can
help the facility deacons see our church-wide practice of
friendship, fellowship and hospitality be so enlarged by the Holy
Spirit that he radically draws people nearer to Christ! Please see

20142015 Cedar Womens Ministry This September, we are
excited that our Cedar Womens Ministry will re-launch for the
new year. Are you interested in using your gifts, skills and
passions to serve our church family here at Cedar? If so, please
speak with coordinators Joan Broene or Sarah Johnson. The

Church Bonfire - Join us for a bonfire, wagon ride and
apple picking at the Weiss's, September 12, 7pm. Enjoy
an Apple Sauce and S'mores Bar along with an apple
cider, hot chocolate and decaf cafe. For more

COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENTS

Interested in Church Membership at Cedar? Pastor Steve will
hold a membership seminar this Wednesday, September 3, from7-
8:30 PM for anyone interested in learning more about church
membership at Cedar. Please register through our Connection
Cards, or speak to Pastor Steve.

Simply Give - The Jenison Meijer Store will be doing their
Simply Give campaign August 3 September 27 to benefit the
Hudsonville Love INC food pantries. Customers may pick up their
Simply Give card at Love INC, Loves Treasures, the Outback
Store, or the Jenison Meijer and take it to the Jenison Meijer
cashier. They will scan the card and you will be donating $10 per
card to benefit the Love INC food pantries. September 4 6 will
feature Double Match Days when Meijer will provide $20 for
every $10 donation, resulting in $30 donation to the Love INC
food pantries. Your donation is greatly appreciated! Questions -

Volunteers Needed at Jehovah Jireh - Jehovah J ireh Ministries
is looking for helpers on Tuesday afternoons to prep for
distribution and helpers during distribution on Wednesday
afternoon. We also need receptionists to help with Saturday
morning distribution. Some Spanish is helpful. Please contact J im

Parenting Conference - Our children are precious; They are a
Reward fromthe Lord! Attending the 2014 IRBC Conference on
Parenting with Dr. Tedd Tripp at the Calvin College Covenant
Fine Arts Center on September 5-6 will certainly prove to be a
worthwhile investment of your time. Register online at

Mission Sale - The annual Mission Sale is coming to Fellowship
Covenant Church, 1569 - 44th St., Hudsonville. Our doors will
open on Thursday, Sept. 4 at 1:00 pmuntil 7:00 pm. Friday hours
are 8:00 amuntil 6:00 pmand Saturday hours are 8:00 amuntil
noon. We turn our building into a huge flea market for this sale.
Monies made on this sale are used to support local, national and
international mission projects. Hope to see you here!
