All of the ingredients listed for the recipes in this book are raw and/or live organic ingredients,
with that said, please note that when I refer to any ingredient I imply it to be raw and/or live
organic. This clear expression of ingredients keeps the recipes fresh looking and easy to read.
Also, since using smoothies in your food plan is optimally about having great health and clarity,
using certied organic or home grown ingredients where no pesticides or herbicides are used is
the best option. If you are not accustomed to obtaining or eating organic foods, please do not let
that stop you. Using raw/live smoothies as an integral part of your food intake is the essential goal
and you can make the transition to organic soon enough as you reach even greater clarity about
what goes into your body.
All the equipment necessary to make these smoothies is a blender. Even an inexpensive, low-
powered blender is enough. Just be sure to add the ingredients slowly so as not to jam the blades.
I have researched and included some nutritional data for a variety of products used in these smoothies. If not
specically otherwise noted, I used data found on the Self Nutrition Data web site and Wikipedia. Please use
your own judgment and criteria when deciding what to eat and whats best for your own personal system and
well being. This information is solely for informational purposes.

This recipe is a great tasting
by recipe. This is one you can
remember easily and put together
quickly. And I should also mention that it
tastes GREAT! The strawberry
mixture is simply awesome and if you get
in the habit of keeping bananas and frozen
strawberries around (like we do) you will
always have what it takes to put this
together and get the live nourishment you
need to feed your cells with a great
tasting, easy to prepare smoothie.
This recipe can easily be altered to incorporate the ingredients that you
will nd, in time, that youll keep around regularly. For those of us that
would include romaine lettuce and spinach and you can use either one
in the recipe with equal success. We almost always have bananas, and
frozen organic strawberries in the freezer. These (staples) make this an
easy smoothie to make at any time without a whole lot of thought. I
put golden raisins in this one to increase the sweetness factor but you
can eliminate them or add regular raisins or a couple of dates or prunes
according to your sweetness preference or available dried fruit.
1/4 cup Almonds
1/4 cup Flax Seeds
1/4 cup Golden Raisins
8-10 ounces Fresh or Frozen Strawberries
1 1/2 Banana
2 cups Spinach
Spring Water and Ice
Grind almonds and ax seed in a dry blender at
highest speed until nely chopped, add raisins and
blend again until well mixed. Add fruit and spinach.
Add water to allow ingredients to actually begin
blending - then add water to desired consistency.
Blend in ice to chill to desired temp. Enjoy!
Makes approximately 32 48 ounces.
Adjust quantities for desired amount!
An Easy Tasty Way to Begin!

2 Tbsp Chia Seeds
2 Tbsp Flax Seeds
10 ounces Frozen Strawberries
8-10 leaves Purple Kale
1 Banana
1/2 cup Organic Raisins
Spring Water
Ice to Chill
Place both seeds in a dry blender. Grind to desired texture.
Add raisins *{Please note that if you are using a regular blender
and not a Vitamix or other high speed power house blender,
add raisins slowly after grinding the seeds to chop them to desired texture.
If you are using a big power blender then you
can add the raisins along with the remaining ingredients.}
Add berries, purple kale and banana. Add water to begin the blending and then additionally to obtain your
desired consistency. Blend in ice as desired to chill.
Some notes
1. Seeds can be left whole for a chew factor in your smoothie if you like.
2. Fine powder grinding of seeds can make smoothie a little paste-like, so try your rst sample with less
grind then try some other variations to see what you like best.
3. Chia seeds will turn gel-like in moisture after a short time.
Know that this is normal and actually a desirable characteristic of the seed.

In this recipe I include the creaming
of almonds, fax and sunfower
seeds simply by adding a small
amount of water to the nut mix
and blending them again for a
short spin. By adding the water,
the granular consistency of the nuts
smooths out to a creamy texture
and gives the entire drink a
smooth, creamy texture.
I have found that some folks do
not like the taste of sunfower
seeds ground, so feel free to
eliminate them or substitute
them with sesame seeds.
2 Tbsp (each) Flax & Sunower Seed
1/4 cup Almonds
6-7 chopped Mejdool Dates
6 ounces Frozen Raspberries
4 ounces Frozen Strawberries
1 cup Spinach - packed tight
Spring Water
Ice if desired
Grind ax, sunower and almonds together in a dry blender until nely chopped. Add 1-2 oz of
water to make a creamy paste. Add raspberries and strawberries and spinach. Remove pits and
chop dates to small 1/4 pieces then add to blender. Start with 6 and adjust for desired sweetness.
Add water to allow ingredients to begin blending, then add water to desired consistency.
Blend in ice if desired.

If you are good with Nuts,
than this is a fantastic tasting,
really nutty and fun smoothie
to make and eat! I run the dry
blender for just a few seconds to
chunk the nuts down slightly so
that they add a great texture to
the entire blend. The cashews are
soft and sweet and the brazil
nuts add a distinctive favor that
is simply remarkable!

Below I have listed some of the benets from various reports offered online. Please do your
own research but know that you cant really go wrong with apples.
The ber content of apples helps reduce the danger of colon cancer.
Apples contain lots of antioxidant such as avonoid and polyphenol that reduce the risk of
expansion of cancer by preventing DNA damage.
A fresh study found that apples reduce the risk of neuro degenerative diseases such as
Alzheimers and Parkinsons. The natural antioxidants found in apples guard nerve cells from
neuro toxicity caused by oxidative stress which has been shown to aid in the prevention
of neuro degenerative diseases.
As apples dont contain any cholesterol and are a good source of ber, the ber content
helps in reducing cholesterol in our body.
Apples can lessen the risk of skin diseases.
Consuming apples helps in the avoidance of digestive and liver problems.
Apples have been recommended for benetting people dealing with obesity, arthritis,
gallbladder stones, gonorrhea, bronchial asthma, tuberculosis, insomnia, anemia, pyorrhea,
halitosis and neuritis.

Victoria Boutenko, author of
Green for Life and Green Smoothie Revolution
I was thinking to myself about my parents conversion to a raw diet and how much
weight they had lost since they began in 2009. I asked them recently, How much
skinnier do you want to get?" My father responded its not about weight really;
I want to live as healthy and as long as possible! That statement impacted me
personally to my core and I really got that I want that too. I want to enjoy myself and
my children's lives for as long as I possibly can and live free of disease. And so, with
that inspired thought, I decided to convert my family to organic. It has made such a
noticeable difference in our lives. Thanks!
Victoria 30, Faireld
The raw smoothie-organic food conversation has assisted me in supercharging my
life. Not only have I changed what I eat, lost weight and feel better, I have
taken my health and well being to a level I didnt even know was possible. Adding in
an exercise regime that I love along with my new food plan has changed my
body and my life and uncovered a new me.
