August 2013 Present: Studying Masters Degree in Global Studies in Education (M.Ed) from
the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign. Projected graduation: December, 2014.
October 2013 Trained as a Sub-Unit Youth Coordinator for the 114 youth conferences
(http://news.bahai.org/community-news/youth-conferences/) held throughout the world. Led 60
youth through the material, Panchgani, India.
June 2013 Completed the recently released 2

unit of the 8

book of the Ruhi Institute
(www.ruhi.org) sequence (having completed all the previous 7 Ruhi Institute books prior as well
as Junior Youth and Childrens class materials). Considered a trained tutor of all said books,
USA, India.
2012: Completed the TEFL, TESOL 120 hour Certification Course from i-to-i TEFL training
Institute, Leeds, UK.
2012: Certified proficient in the Persian Language by the Foreign Language Proficiency
Testing Service of the New York University School of Continuing and Professional Studies, USA,
by earning a score of 12 points out of 12 points.
October 2011: Trained as Programme Officer and Mentor of the 4 modules of the Bah
Academys program Education in Universal Human Values Panchgani, India.
2005- 2012: Earned a Baccalaureate degree (B.A.) from the University of Southern Maine,
Portland/Gorham, Maine, USA: Self-designed Major in the Arts; International Studies with a
focus on Eastern Philosophy and History also including a proficiency in the Persian language.
This included a year of study abroad in Bangalore, India at the International Center of
Management and India Studies (ICMIS) in the year of 2006-2007.
June 2011: Attended an intensive language course at the Boston Language Institute, Boston
Massachusetts. 44 Hours of Immersive Farsi training underwent.

Work/Experience
April 2013 Present: Volunteer for the BIHE (Bah Institute for Higher Education
www.bihe.org) the online University developed by Bah professors in Iran for Bah Iranian
students who are deprived of the right of higher education.
2006 2014: Working with adults, ages 15 70+, as a tutor of the sequence of courses offered
by the Ruhi Institute, India and USA.
2007 2013: Working with junior youth, ages 12 15, as an animator of junior youth groups
using the program of the Ruhi Institute, India and USA.
2006 2013: Working with children, ages 5 9, as a teacher of childrens classes using the
curriculum of the Ruhi Institute, India and USA.
December 2012 December 2013: Cluster Ruhi Institute Coordinator for Pune Cluster,
Maharasthra India.
October 2012 December 2013: Assistant to the Auxiliary Board Member Habibeh

USA.
March 2009 May 2011: Cluster Ruhi Institute Coordinator for the Bah community of the
Lower Maine/New Hampshire Cluster, USA.
July 2008 May 2011: Assistant to the Auxiliary Board Member Jon Weiss, in the Bah

September 2007-March 2009: Bookstore Coordinator Green Acre Bahai School Eliot Maine,

o Managed the volunteers who worked part time in the store.
o Helped to maintain the software which we used to sell books and troubleshot said
software when going mobile with the bookstore to various conferences.
o Studied buying trends in order to anticipate future needs.
o Maintained and worked within the confines of a budget.
