Classes/Events Starting Wednesday September 3rd
Mission Wednesday's
The first Wed. each month at 5:35 p.m. in Drowota Hall (in partnership with TNFP)
Mission Wednesday's includes supper and a presentation/speaker, then a brief worship
service. Reservations can be made by emailing rvaughan@woodmontcc.org, calling the
church office at 297-8563, filling out the Connection Card at morning worship on Sunday or
online. There is no fee to attend - donations will be accepted to support TNFP and WCC's
outreach and mission work.

DivorceCare - Separated or Divorced? We Can Help.
6:15 p.m. - 7:45 p.m. in The Bay, led by Reverend Anne Stauffer and Janet Wall
DivorceCare is a 13 week support group (you may attend any and all classes beginning
September 3rd) and offers a safe, confidential, healing environment for our Video and Group
Support Seminar Series. There is a $20 materials fee with scholarship assistance available.

Classes/Events Starting Wednesday September 10th
"The Ten Commandments"
6:30 p.m. in the Boardroom, led by Dr. C. Roy Stauffer
In conjunction with the NEW Sermon Series beginning September 7th, we will be looking at
each of "The Ten Commandments" as Clay Stauffer preaches them on Sunday mornings.
We will also add other insights in addition to what Clay preaches. Clay will be joining the
discussion in October. You can hear and review Sunday morning's sermons on our website.

"Seeking, Sharing, Serving" Discipleship Classes - Three Week Series
6:30 p.m. in Room 200, led by Clay Stauffer
- "Seeking" Class - First in the three week series is on September 10th
- "Sharing" Class - Second in the three week series is on September 17th
- "Serving" Class - Third in the three week series is on September 24th
We offer a series of three classes which align to our mission statement. Members and
visitors alike are encouraged to participate in these classes as they are offered. More detailed
information on the content of each class can be found HERE.

"Conversations With Christ"
6:30 p.m. in Room 107, led by Michael Whittington
What would it be like to have a conversation with Jesus? What would you say to Him; more
importantly, what would He say to you? Two good questions - even if the answers are known
only to God. We are privy, however, to several conversations from the Gospel of John
between Jesus and others such as Nathaniel, Nicodemus, the Woman at the Well, and
Peter. Would He say the same thing to us? Yes, I think so! With help from my co-teacher,
Alan Sowell, I'll be sharing my thoughts on these conversations from the fourth Gospel as we
discuss selected passages from John. Join us for this seven week series beginning
September 10th!

Wednesdays. Donations will be accepted to further the mission of The Nashville Food
Project and Woodmont's mission and outreach work.
Adults - Please join us for the Pancake breakfast in Drowota Hall and enjoy Homecoming Sunday,
Promotion Sunday and all of the festivities as we kick off fall!

SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 6th - DAY TRIP TO TREETOP ADVENTURE PARK!

The Woodmont Youth Group is taking on an afternoon of zip lining and high ropes course at
Treetop Adventures! We will meet at the park at 1pm (4001 Bell Road - next to Nashville
Shores). Depending on how long it takes to go through the course, we should finish up
around 4pm (+/- 1 hour) - we will send out a group text when we are about an hour away from
finishing.
The cost of the event is only $10 per person, with the church subsidizing the rest. First time
visitors are free! No one will be turned away for financial reasons; we are glad to provide
need-based scholarships for anyone interested in attending.

PLEASE NOTE THAT WOODMONT YOUTH WILL NOT MEET SUNDAY AUGUST 31st!
