C#$eria is a central hu$ for man# factions. +he planet is large' %ith a mi.e! climate. +he central
continents are temperate' %ith large areas co(ere! in forest. As #ou mo(e to the poles' the terrain gets
roc&# an! $arren $efore (anishing into fro4en tun!ra.
+hroughout its histor#' C#$eria has $een home to a multitu!e of ci(ili4ations' often fighting amongst
themsel(es' $ut largel# at peace than&s to the efforts of the Council5 A multi/ethnic an! racial forum

In recent #ears ho%e(er' tensions ha(e increase! as energ# supplies ha(e fallen !ramaticall#. +his is the
scene of the current %ars an! struggles.

small tas& forces of troops. 6arge scale armoure! operations are rare' !ue to the limite! supplies of

3orthern Corline
After the ci(il %ar' the northern people of Corline ha(e strictl# maintaine! the hierach# of aristocrac#
that %as the cornerstone of ol! Corline. After the %ar' the# ha(e ta&en a turn to%ar!s militarism an!
patriotic fer(our' ta&ing great pri!e in their great s&ills at engineering. +heir principal ri(als are the
southern re$els' ho%e(er' their nee! to ac*uire energ# cr#stals ha(e le! them into conflict %ith other
factions as %ell. 3C forces are reno%ne! for $eing relentless com$atants' $ut al%a#s con!uct
themsel(es in a manner that is in accor!ance %ith Council rules for treatment of prisoners an! ci(ilians.
Southern Corline
+he re$els esta$lishe! themsel(es in the rural regions of the former Corline Domain. +he# ha(e $roa!
support' ho%e(er' the ci(il %ar sa% them lose control o(er much of the Corline in!ustrial $ase.
Bor!ering factions are %atching them %aril#' as their message of reform an! in!i(i!ual li$ert# are
stirring their citi4ens as %ell.

Due to these shortcomings' the# ha(e foun! themsel(es nee!ing to fight in a more ruthless an!
aggressi(e fashion.

occasionall# races fight un!er the Council $anners. )hile their tas& is to ensure correct con!uct of
com$atant factions' the# ha(e engage! in an increasing num$er of sta$ili4ing operations ' see&ing to
%ea&en a faction that is $ecoming ascen!ant' or su$tl# influence the fortunes of %ar. It is a *uestion of
time $efore this is pushe! too far' $ut no$o!# %ishes to ris& unite! the other factions against them.
