Job Description:
1. Network Engineers design, install, configure, manage, and support techn
ical components within the network environment. Router/Switch Administration
2. Configure routers (route configurations, ACLs, core system configuratio
ns)
3. Configure switches (switch port configurations, VLAN configuration, ACL
s, core system configurations)
4. Analyze network environment (logs, packet traces, bandwidth) to underst
and communication patterns and identify source/destination/protocol/port informa
tion for application to application internetworking
5. Analyze internetworking throughout the environment to identify routing
paths and ACLs for applications that need to communicate with each other (partic
ular focus on NGN to LGN)
6. Configure network routing and access controls to enable application to
application communication
7. Utilize network diagnostic tools to perform network troubleshooting inc
luding traces of network communication Upgrade/patch software (develop process f
or upgrading/patching, develop scripts to automate/test, perform regression test
ing)
8. Document environment/configuration of the environment (e.g. topology) an
d specific devices Ensure inventory systems Load Balancer Administration
Create New Pools and VIPS
Add/Delete/Modify load balancing rules

Upgrade/patch software

Add/Delete/Modify Appropriate rules and Access Lists
