The department is running MBA(B&F) program since September 2004 as advised by the
then Governor of State Bank of Pakistan during his visit to Gomal university, to provide
equal job opportunities to the qualified inhabitant of this remote area specially according
to the job description and specification for banking sector.
In the light of his advise the MoU with IBP(Institute of Bankers Pakistan) was signed
with the financial obligation on part of department to deposit Rs.20,000 per student
(Rs.10,000 per year)as token money. In response the IBP was supposed to provide
seminar facilities, Books, periodical/Journals etc and supervised Internship facilities for
students but totally failed to follow the covenants of Deed and now denied to keep the
program invoke.
IBP has also shown the same type of behavior with Institute of Management Sciences,
Peshawar, ultimately the IMS started its own independent program.
Keeping the dire need of the market and its popularity among students the faculty has
decided to keep this program continued on the same basis as this is approved program by
all statutory bodies of university therefore, there is no academic or financial complication
involved.
Your kind honor is requested to kindly accord the approval for continuing the
MBA(B&F) so the same may be advertised through academic section properly in time.

MBA Program that each student of program will write two term papers (Advised by
Faculty and evaluated externally).

This practice remained intact since the inception of department. But now its benefits are
seemed useless because of plagiarism ,therefore, it is suggested that to stop the
malpractice and unnecessary burden anticipated approval may kindly be accorded to
implement the following :
- Each student of MBA program is required to write only one Research
paper on business related topics of (50) Marks to be evaluated
(Internally & externally).

The department intends to arrange extra classes for MBA-Professional Ist Term (20092011) to complete their courses upto end of Mrach 2010 just to stream line the session
with the over all University examination Schedule as their classes has been started from

For the purpose faculty decided to take 10-12 additional classes for each subject, your

complication particularly for second shift of the said program.

research in higher studies of M.Phil and PhD.
Keeping in view the importance of research at Master level the departmental academic
