Placement Consultant:

Skills and Work Solutions are recruiting a Placement Consultant to source, identify and gain suitable work placements,
Traineeships, full or part time employment including apprenticeships for 16-19 year old students.


The duties of the job include:

To deliver a comprehensive work placement service for Study Programme students and Trainees.
Generation of high quality Traineeship opportunities with employers and resourcing suitable Trainees leading to
outstanding progression rates
To deliver of careers related modules to prepare students for placement, including individual and group advise on
application processes, CVs, assessment centres, interviews and selection tests
To source and develop materials relevant to the client groups in support of Study Programmes, involving the delivery of
qualifications, as well as facilitating work experience and placement opportunities.
To provide guidance, support and training services to recently employed/placed individuals and thereby assist them in
retaining employment and gaining relevant qualifications.
To liaise with employers and monitor the development, health & safety and welfare of clients both in Skills and Work
Solutions Training Centres and on placement.
To identify all student needs with regards to Work Placement (including Traineeships) and progression routes and provide
effective solutions, accurately planning, tracking and recording progress
To create an extensive, high quality base of Work Placements, which fully meet H&S, Equality & Diversity and safeguarding
requirements
To ensure own monthly start volumes are achieved in line with the Training Centres Business Plan and contractual targets


We would like to hear from you if you have/are:

Experience within similar role.
A current full UK Driving License and access to a car.
A minimum of two years of learner or employer engagement experience
Experience of Delivering vocational qualifications or provision or recruitment services
Experience of providing guidance, advice & counseling, specialist /pastoral support.
Experience of and ability to deliver convincing sales presentations.
