Competitions & Events Manager

The Independent Schools Football Association (ISFA) is looking to appoint a full-time Competitions and
Events Manager to support the continued growth of the association through supporting the delivery of
ISFA Competitions and specific events.

ISFA is the organising body for football played by Independent Schools and has one full-time employee and
relies on a large number of volunteers to support its programme. ISFA runs National Competitions at U18,
U15, U13 and U11 for boys and at U18 for girls. In addition, ISFA also runs and supports an extensive
number of regional competitions and there is the potential for further competitions. ISFA also runs
representative football, coaching courses and leadership and volunteering programmes.

The successful candidate will work from home and will travel nationally for competitions, events, meetings
(usually in the London area) as part of the delivery of the role.

Role Profile



Role Purpose:
COMPETITIONS organisation and administration of ISFA Competitions (including finals)
EVENTS delivery of ISFA events, e.g. one-day competitions and matches.
ADMINISTRATION administration of the ISFA Membership Scheme and dealing with general enquiries.

Key Accountabilities:

The Independent Schools FA (ISFA) has grown significantly as an organisation over the past decade. This growth has increased
further with the appointment of a full-time Football Development Manager in 2009 and another period of substantial growth is
envisaged with the appointment of ISFAs first Competitions & Events Manager.

The Competitions & Events Manager will work in the following areas to help ISFA to achieve this envisaged growth:

Competitions
Administration of entries for all ISFA-run competitions;
Administration of all ISFA competitions, to include coordinating match dates, score collection and other such duties as
are required;
Organisation and on the day management of ISFA Cup Finals
Administration of all ISFA one-day competitions, to include liaising with the host school, referees, producing the
tournament fixtures and other such duties as are required;
Liaison with and support of Independent School regional competitions;
A regional league structure for Independent Schools at several age groups;
Managing the ISFA Competitions Budget;
Any other duties related to the running of competitions.

Events
Organisation and on the day management of some Representative matches and one-day competitions/matches;
Supporting ISFA in the administration and one the day running of additional events where appropriate.

Administration
Administration of the ISFA Membership Scheme, to include the record of payments and managing the database of ISFA
members;
Production of termly reports for the ISFA Chief Executive Officer;
To be the first point of contact for General Enquiries to ISFA
Other duties as agreed with the ISFA Football Development Manager &/or ISFA CEO
