This position is a stand alone role and the successful candidate will be responsible for the accounting function in the Paris office. You will posses a strong Accounting background, and previous experience working in small to medium size enterprises. Role details Prepare/support with the draft management accounts. Validate purchase invoices and log onto accounts system journal input. Entering all bank receipts and payments. Bank reconciliations on a daily basis. Manage inter-company reconciliations. Create and track sales invoices. Negotiate payments with suppliers and obtain approval from the Commercial Director. Reconcile supplier statements. Support with the updating monthly budgets and managing the balance sheet/Bilan. Follow up with any statutory reporting, declarations or legal responsibilities. Coordinate the recruitment process with HR in UK, as required. Drafting employee contracts, monitoring legal costs, seeking HR support as required. Track staff movements; changes in salaries and roles etc. Producing management reports and assisting the Global Finance in UK on ad-hoc tasks. Skills and qualifications: Good communication skills in English and French. Minimum 5 years experience, some of which has been gained working in a stand alone role, with reporting responsibilities to Global Finance function. Proven ability in Management Accounts. Experienced in working with detailed spreadsheets and knows how to present data to best effect. Can provide advice and input into the decision making process that is in the commercial interests of the business. Remains aware of emerging practices and looks to make improvements to processes to improve effectiveness. Excellent communication skills and can build effective working relationships with colleagues across the company. Excellent attention to detail. Produces accurate work, task driven, organised, good problem solving skills. Competent in Excel. Part qualified or qualified by experience. Personal attributes: Motivated, enthusiastic and has a positive attitude to work. Proactive and seeks to make improvements. Approachable, able to inspire confidence. Positive can do attitude and takes pride in their work. Professional at all times.
