ThisLimitedWarrantydoesnotcoverthefollowingunlesstheyoccurredbecauseofadefectin
materialsorworkmanship:
(a)Batteriesoranyprotectivecoatingstheperformanceofwhichnaturallydeterioratesovertime.
(b)Cosmeticdamage,includingscratches,dents,cracksorothercosmeticdamagefromnormal
wearandtear.
(c)Damagecausedbyusewithnon-Motorolaproducts.Defectsordamagethatresultfromtheuse
ofnon-Motorolabrandedorcertifiedcompatibleproducts,accessoriesorotherperipheral
equipmentand/orsoftware.
(d)DamagecausedbeyondthereasonablecontrolofMotorola,includingdamagecausedby(i)
accident,abuse,misuse;(ii)operatingaProductoutsideitspermittedorintendedusesasdefinedin

clips/fasteners/connectors);impactdamage(e.g.droppingtheProduct)(iv)contactwithliquids,
water,rain,extremehumidity,unusuallyheavyperspirationorothermoisture;sand,food,dirtor
similarsubstances(exceptforProductssoldasresistanttosuchsubstances,butthenonlytothe
extentthedamagewasnotcausedbyincorrectlysecuringthephonesprotectiveelementsor
subjectingaProducttoconditionsbeyonditsstatedspecificationsorlimits);or(v)flood,fire,
earthquake,tornadoorotheractsofGodnotwithinMotorola'sreasonablecontrol.
(e)Unauthorizedservice.DefectsordamageresultingfromsomeoneotherthanMotorolaora
Motorolaauthorizedservicecenterservicing,testing,adjusting,installing,maintaining,altering,or
tamperingwiththeProducts.
(f)ProductsthathavebeenmodifiedinanymannerwithoutthewrittenpermissionofMotorola.

orobliterated;(ii)mismatchedorduplicatedserialnumbers;(iii)brokensealsorotherevidenceof
